To ask what your low cost luxury is?

We are trying to save money at the moment so there is little room for luxury.

I'd love to hear your low cost (or even free!) luxuries? At the moment mine are a cheap bunch of flowers and a coffee from the machine. I did buy myself some tights today but I'm not sure you can call that a luxury...

How do you treat yourself?

Nespresso pods, flowers/ plants and a ‘luxury’ magazine. Or something to make like some nice embroidery threads. A donut from the posh bakery.

Aldi scented candle- the one that looks like Jo Malone. The no 2 (blackberry) one is lush.

Empoweredwomenempowerwomem · 26/05/2018 20:15

A chocolate seashell bar or a walk on the beach

NapQueen · 26/05/2018 20:15

A cosmic alignment of fresh bedsheets, bubble bath, ironed (the sheer luxury) pyjamas and a new book. Rarely happens.

ferriswheel · 26/05/2018 20:16

An audiobook in the bath

bimbobaggins · 26/05/2018 20:16

Asda nspa hot cloth polish. £5. Obviously not a necessity but a lovely cheap treat

vampirethriller · 26/05/2018 20:17

Clean sheets
Big bunch of lilies
(Colin caterpillar cake to myself if it's been a bad week)

NorthernKnickers · 26/05/2018 20:17

Really good butter 😊

NorthernKnickers · 26/05/2018 20:18

@vampirethriller 😂Colin is THE best cake!

MissMarplesKnitting · 26/05/2018 20:18

A nail varnish or lippy. Happy with collection or CYO from boots.

A home made olive oil and caster sugar scrub and then a long, hot shower with deep conditioner etc too.folkowed by the nail varnish.

Add clean bedding and PJs and a bag of Cadbury buttons and I'm a happy camper.

A walk in the rain when you have no plans or commitments for the afternoon. It's free Grin or hide in the en suite with a book.

ShovingLeopard · 26/05/2018 20:18

A Tesco Finest Belgian chocolate mousse. Delicious.

dementedma · 26/05/2018 20:22

decent bottle of wine, book to read, clean sheets and huband on night shift!

niceberg · 26/05/2018 20:23

Mug of hot chocolate with a shot of rum. On dark evenings anyway.

DinoSn0re · 26/05/2018 20:23

Drinking a really hot cup of tea undisturbed! Getting into a nice clean bed. Cheesecake - any sort will do!

Tobebythesea · 26/05/2018 20:24

Bubble bath!

tsonlyme · 26/05/2018 20:24

This weekend, for the second time, I’m house sitting for a colleague. I get to stay in a beautiful Georgian house in the country in return for walking the dog. Luxury indeed and completely free. I even get to eat her food 😂

bsbabas · 26/05/2018 20:25

Food and stuff from primark best foundation stick ever also booze at home and cheese

SoWakeUp · 26/05/2018 20:25

Alcohol, lovely bubble bath and nail varnish.

giddyasakipper · 26/05/2018 20:30

Krispy Kreme Doughnut, hot cup of tea or glass of prosecco and a bubble bath! Free option in our house is always a walk in the woods - it's good for the soul!

DissertationDrama · 26/05/2018 20:31

Lush bath bombs!

Clinicalwaste · 26/05/2018 20:32

I am so busy all the time on Friday mornings I walk from My car to my office REALLY slowly and detour to buy a big posh coffee. The town is very beautiful and to walk slowly and enjoy the views is such a nice luxury when I am always rushing. Also I will buy a cheap plant for the garden. Some cheap flowers and some posh hand soap just for me and dh that lasts ages.

I've recently bought a pot of mint to keep outside the back door. Of an evening I nip out and grab a handful of leaves, and make a wonderful fresh peppermint infusion.

OK so now I sound like a twat for saying 'fresh peppermint infusion!', but it's just lovely I promise you Smile

savingin2018welltryingto · 26/05/2018 20:35

Love all of these ideas! I am totally on the board with the bath, clean pjs and bedding too.

I usually feel really guilty buying something for just me.
