Is there a new thread about this?

sparklefluff Wed 23-May-18 09:07:24

I don't think so?

MarshaBradyo Wed 23-May-18 09:10:49

I don’t think so

thanks for starting one

JeanGenie23 Wed 23-May-18 09:16:31

I saw that article this morning, I don’t know the ins and outs and didn’t see the other thread on here but I do generally enjoy seeing mother of daughters posts and I think it’s a shame she has closed her Instagram post

caperberries Wed 23-May-18 09:17:57

Link to the article:

Just to say we should not focus on one instagrammer

(And It should have been Lagerfeld last thread)

sparklefluff Wed 23-May-18 09:22:37

@MarshaBradyo I'm literally only here for the cat recommendations

MarshaBradyo Wed 23-May-18 09:23:26

Me too Sparkle me too

And Peter

That article is badly written. It could have explored the issue properly but just seems to be having a pop.

sparklefluff Wed 23-May-18 09:25:59

What do we think about Justine's comment?

OopsUpsideYourHead27 Wed 23-May-18 09:30:14

I think she should think herself lucky that they didn't quote any of the posts from people who have been on the receiving end of her horrible ways. The so called "Bullied" being the Bully.

finks100 Wed 23-May-18 09:31:37

I think that article needs to be proof read and edited!

JeanGenie23 Wed 23-May-18 09:32:15

wips yes I agree!

sparkle I don’t know what they asked her to comment on but I sort of feel she misses the point.

jamoncrumpets Wed 23-May-18 09:32:15

She'll be back, holidays and all.

MarshaBradyo Wed 23-May-18 09:32:57

In not sure if Justine was asked for a quote or it was lifted from somewhere else
But it didn’t relate to the article, but Justine’s views on children in SM is on an earlier thread

jamoncrumpets Wed 23-May-18 09:33:52

This is better written and more about the ACTUAL issues with instaflogging:

https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2018/mar/21/instagram-influencers-can-flog-stuff-all-day-but-its-weird-when-they-use-their-kids-to-do-it

JeanGenie23 Wed 23-May-18 09:45:01

Maybe I am missing the crux of the issue (very possible) but wasn’t the reason mother of daughters took her profile down was because of the Kim Kardashian appetite suppressant lollipop? Not because of ads and sponsored posts?

jamoncrumpets Wed 23-May-18 09:48:08

Things came to a head after the KK post but had been brewing for a while, I think.

MarshaBradyo Wed 23-May-18 09:51:29

Does anyone else feel odd when referred to as mums 'appreciated by mums'

Find it a bit cringe-y as if we don't do anything else

Jean can't be sure but possibly to do with that and another IG post

firsttimemum889 Wed 23-May-18 10:10:58

@JeanGenie23 why would she take it down because of kim ? Is it some kind of movement ?

VileyRose Wed 23-May-18 10:18:06

Painful reading !

JeanGenie23 Wed 23-May-18 10:18:18

She was accused of body shaming Kim Kardashian and had quite a few aggressive posts directed at her calling her a hypocrite and all sorts. And it spiralled very quickly. A few other Instagram bloggers also had a lot to say on the situation but their comments didn’t fire up as half as bad as mother of daughters. It was all very bizarre how vile grown adults were being to one another over the internet

firsttimemum889 Wed 23-May-18 10:23:21

Was this about the lillipop malarkey? Tbh i think kim is vile so i wouldnt dissagree with her on that!

PurplePumpkinPiss Wed 23-May-18 10:25:43

That article is so badly written it hurt to read it. Surely if you're paid to write an article you'd proof read it!

jamoncrumpets Wed 23-May-18 10:25:59

It's not really about KK. It's about people arguing in comments underneath posts.
