I would wonder what the child has been allowed to watch they would acclimatise them to such a film, especially if the parents were confident it would be fine. I am pretty sure my 4 year old would be traumatised but I don’t have much reference because she hasn’t seen much past CBeebies and Paddington.

I can't get the stupidly complicated plotlines straight in my head (millions of glowing cubes that do different things, can't remember who hates the other and why, etc) and I'm 33. It's also 3 hours. I don't know many 3 year olds who wouldn't get fed up.

My kids were young in the days when video recorders were still a thing ( I feel about 100years old!). Anyway, there was a hell raiser marathon on once through the night, hell raiser 1/2/3 so I taped it. Came down the next morning to find they’d got up super early, my son had someone pressed play and my 2 and 3 year old were halfway through hell raiser 3 (having seen the full first 2 films). In fact my daughter loved pinhead and went on about him for ages afterwards!

They are both adults now and not serial killers and not afraid of scary films (unlike some of my friends). So I am somewhat blasé about this kind of stuff.

Its not a kiddies film!
And i would be seriously pissed off if someone sat beside me with a 4yr old and they got scared and cried or chattered all through it.
Its a violent action film, supreme being trying to cull the earths population etc not flipping Peter Rabbit!

It's a 12A, not a 12, not even a PG. It's totally inappropriate for a glorified toddler. It's not a case of judging, It's a case of what a 3 year old should be exposed to.

Must be something about pinhead - I also "accidentally" watched it - when I was 3, I used to kiss the TV screen as I felt sorry for him!
