And leaving the window seat AngryAngry seriously if you're a couple book the inside two seats, it's so frustrating.

Also what determines if an infant can sit on a particular seat, I've just selected my seats for the flight and me and hubby have to sit one behind the other in window seats because my daughter apparently can't sit in that row 🙄

To be fair, some single travellers love the window seat. My exdh did. Always wanted window when he was on his own.

As for the row where a child can sit. Thats the same on all planes.

I get its annoying when things dont work in your favour. But you are a bit unreasonable.

Bloody hell AnyFucker booking 2 adjacent aisle seats is genius. Both spacious and no one stuck in middle.

It’s too late for me now as already booked. SadEnvy

I think YABU. People have all sorts of reasons for choosing their seats.

If it's very important to you to be in a particular configuration, why didn't you book seats earlier?

Yabu - should’ve got there quicker. First come first served for this sort of stuff.

We haven’t reserved seats for our next holiday and are prepared that we might have to at separately (well 2 and 2 rather than together).

As a single traveller I would want the window seat. In fact, I always want the window seat.

We always book aisle and centre. I like the aisle and my daughter would prefer to sit with me. Some prefer the window. YABU

I think there is an extra oxygen mask on child seats.

We always book seats!

I’m sorry you are having issues getting what you want OP but I’ll continue happily booking the seats that suit our family best.

Like AF we book a middle and aisle seat on each side of the aisle when we fly with our children.

It’s considerably easier than asking a stranger to move.

I'm not talking about emergency exits for infants I'm talking about the plain green seats on the chart that aren't on the exits

Men with prostate problems have to get up frequently to go to the toilet! A middle aged couple are going to choose the two seats, not on the window - so the man only inconveniences his partner!

People make choices that are rational for them; life is not just about you OP and your circumstances!

DH and I always book isle seats but DD likes a window. DS doesn’t care where he sits but if asked usually takes a window . Everyone books where they want to sit. You’ll need to book your chosen seats early or take what is left.

Another vote for the window seat. I love people who want aisle and middle as that's more windows for me!

Can't believe the OP thinks this is an issue. It would never even cross my mind! First come first served, crack on.

Arguably, people who book aisle and window hoping the middle will stay empty are cheeky at worst, but if the system allows it, so what.

I think I'm going to love the opinions on this thread

As a single traveller I always book a window seat too. People can book what they like if they book early enough. Yabu.

There are 4 of us so we book 2 and 2 on the aisle and middle seats as our dds always want to go to the toilet at least twice during a flight. This means we don't have to keep bothering a stranger to get up. Yabu.

YABU, people choose the seats that suit their needs. We always book the aisle and middle seat if there's 2 of us and if there's 4 of us we book an aisle and the opposite row. I always reserve seats when buying the tickets. I would rather not have to climb over someone if needing to get up

As an aside, we’ve just returned from a holiday where we booked specific seats due to having an infant. The infant ended up not sitting in the infant seat and the attendants didn’t say a word. I don’t think they really matter.
