Yes it is only mid day. But all I have to do this afternoon is some housework, ironing and cook an evening meal for DPs friend visiting this evening. And there is a cold bottle in the fridge.

Crack on. No different to the zillions of people who will be having pub lunches with a pint in the sun today, buuuuut this is MN and shortly someone will be along to diagnose you with alcoholism.

I'd be asleep by 3 if I started drinking at 12! That doesn't mean you shouldn't though, if you're made of stronger stuff than me.

I've just poured myself a nice cold kiwi and lime cider and I'm sipping it on a sun lounger in my garden - cheers!!

Matty I couldn't drink the bottle! But a smallish glass and save the rest for this evening is more feasible.

Depends on what drinking the prosecco will do to your ability to carry out the other things you need to do. I would probably also fall asleep if I drank proescco now Grin

Oh hard to read there. But basically "There's him off to work and you're stuck in the house doing chores. Drink wine, it'll cheer you right up" Grin

Go for it, just don't be tempted to have a second as that would surely send me to sleep if I had a couple of drinks in the afternoon! I'm meeting friends for dinner later, a rare night out, and am already looking forward to pouring myself a glass of vino to enjoy when getting ready, whilst DH can get the kids sorted for bed!

Do it. If it was me I'd enjoy the bottle. But my tolerance is very high

I just came in from the garden to check on t'internet at what time the sun is officially 'over the yardarm' and apparently it's 11am. So you are running behind there OP. You'd better have another glass to catch up. I'll go and pour a G&T and join you.

I have opened the bottle, been cleaning and taking a very quick break before starting to make tea and do the ironing. Might have to hide the ironing as I am running out of time
