to think the people who take a minus offer on the Chase are arses?

DH and I have turned into PILs and now rush home for game shows.

Yes I saw that and the male member of the team who was already back told him to go for the 6k or the higher figure but not the minus - seems they want a cut without the effort!

I suppose they think if they get back the team will have more of a chance of winning with a full house.

But if they're not that confident about their quizzing ability they're probably not going to be much help in the final chase either.

Find it hard to believe that a player so poor or selfish that they want to take the minus offer would be of critical importance in the final. Might just about be ok if the minus offer is -1k but -5k wipes out another player's winnings in their round

YANBU I hate that too. I can't believe how the contestants just accept it and applaud them when they get back, I'd be sitting with my arms folded, absolutely fuming!*

*This is if it was £-3000+

AIBU to think Bradley is annoying when he says "Correct"! in an incredulous manner whenever a woman (even the chasers) gets a football question correct. He did it to Jenny a couple of weeks ago. Other than that I do like him although he needs to pull back on the hunched over, tearful laughing because he's veering into the Phil and Holly look and it's not good.

Yes! They're all so nice about it. I assume there's something in the contract that states you won't get the prize money if you scream YOU SNAKE GARY at your team-mate.

Haven't noticed that about Bradley- have noticed the hunching.

I agree, I cringe when they go for the lower offer. I'd be furious if I was on the team.

The whole show annoys me. The chasers are all smug and Bradley can be condescending. Too many ads. A good format spoiled.

When I was a child my parents would have disowned me for not eating meat (farmers) in my teens I’d probably be disowned for being up duff, now, I would be disowned for taking a minus offer on the chase.

Yes this is bad. I saw the one the other day where she took minus £8k or something. There were already 3 people in the final chase and she didn't answer any questions to help anyway.

Not as bad as that show where they have to steal or split. I forget what it was called now. But that could be brutal.

Even worse are those that tell the others not to take a minus and then take it themselves.

Only once have I seen another contestant lose his temper about another taking a minus offer. He got really annoyed - forgotten what name he used, but he WAS NOT happy.

So he basically ended up with £5k for NOWT because he added nothing to the pot. In fact he's effectively stolen it twice!

I can't understand why you'd want anyone that thick back on the final panel! They're quite likely to just shout the wrong answer in the finale anyway!

Has anyone seen the US version of The Chase? I love it. The rapport between The Beast and the host is amazing. The panellists are a lot brighter, too, and play for a higher prize.
