We have a shared staff loo which only two of us tidy.I work with mainly men so I don't overly clean it as the only female there. They other girls use the customer Loo's however we are not supposed to in uniform. The cleaners don't clean our loo.
Tonight I popped in for a pee and thought the seat felt damp.
I thought perhaps a guy had dribbled on it.When I stood up I saw smeared brown mess and patches of poo or sick.I'm disgusted as there is bleach.A sponge and paper towels I took up there.Ainu to use customer Loo's or complain in the morning.I have cleaned poo off under seat before.

Yanbu! Complain. Tell them you will have to use customer loos until the other staff learn to clean up after themselves and not be such vile disgusting animals! Explain it in detail. You were made to feel very uncomfortable so can whoever has to deal with this until they are shamed into cleaning up the shit off the seat!

No it was only a smear so lightly stained on closer inspection a poor attempt to wipe it off with more around the inner rim.It is quite dimly lit and the dampness made me look again.I don't want to appear precious but I'm sick of dirty Loo's.!!

That is vile. Complain and refuse to use it until people get their act together. I bet they wouldn’t do that at home! Disgusting.

They seem so decent I can't. believe any one would be like this.surely the bathroom spray and loo sponge could be been used.
Accidents happen but clean them up surely ?

Gross. Complain. Why do the cleaners not clean the staff loo? Surely that should be within their remit? Not for the staff who work there.
Def bring it up with management/staff meeting, it’s gross, full grown adults shouldn’t be leaving the loo in the state a potty training toddler more might, especially when there are cleaning products there to clean up with. Perhaps suggest a brighter watt bulb too if the bathroom is dingy?

I don’t think cleaners should be having to clean up shit. I’d definitely use the customer toilet.

I wouldn't have waited to complain- I'd have gone out to a manager, told them and then left to go shower at home - overreaction but if be feeling yuck all day.
And then made a written complaint about disgusting conditions the next day.

That's rank. YANBU.

It speaks volumes about the culprit's attitude towards others. My workplace has this problem and my heart breaks for the cleaners who, despite cleaning the toilets three times daily, still have to clean up shit and piss every single time. There's really no excuse.

Oh OP, I am so sorry that happened to you, that is disgusting...I will never understand how anybody can leave a toilet seat or floor with pee or poo on (yes I've actually had a house guest leave a tiny piece of poo on the floorConfused in front of the toilet)...it's disgusting that people can't use the toilet cleanly, you sit on it, there's a large enough hole for everything to drop down...how does stuff end up on the seat, or floor?...it grosses me out big time...

Op you should tell your boss and have him do an announcement over keeping the toilet clean...that is a health hazard to be sitting in someone elses faeces ,

Like I say.I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty regarding work and one guy and myself put the handtowels out and empty the bin.despite my colleagues note no one else emptied the bin.I gave up and didn't care if a paper towel fell on the floor.Sunday I cleaned the sink and shelf as an apprentice was coming.my loo at home is always clean.my son and dh would never do this.
If I said what my job was I definitely can't clean traces.off seats.:( I still feel sick.:(

YANBU. I would send an email round, or stick a note on the toilet door "please leave the toilets in the state you would wish to find them"
It's disgusting, I would never leave someone else to clean my mess up like that.
I followed someone into the loo at work and was greeted with huge skid marks :(
Don't people know how to use a toilet brush?
