I work every weekend in a very physical job. DH has his parents over when I’m in work and most of the time they are there when I get home, they stay until 7pm/8pm. They normally eat out together (lunchtime)when I’m in work or have a takeaway. I then feel extremely awkward cooking for just myself when I get home or feel like I shouldn’t have to cook for everyone when I have been working all day so sit there and get more and more hangry! Ha ha. Is it very rude to eat in front of guests? DH doesn’t see its a problem.

It’s rude of him not to leave or make you something when you’ve been working your arse off all day and he’s been wooping it up!

If no one’s going to be thoughtful and make you something then of course you get on with cooking and eating. It’s your house too you know.

Apart from the use of the ridiculous word Hangry, YANBU. I'd expect enough takeaway ordered so there's some for you upon arriving home for starters.

No it's not rude in this case. Anyway, they're family, not guests.
