Am I the only one to think the latest Irn Bru advert is in very poor taste, they say it's humour, REALLY ? I have visions of children in playgrounds all shouting 'can't ' and thinking it funny because they know exactly what they mean

That's the whole point of Irn Bru ads. Like the one about the baby called Fanny. They're aiming for poor taste!

Aw come on it’s funny! Don’t be a can’t! It will only be on tv for a couple of weeks anyway cos it’s shite

Also it’s all about accents.........say the Coop one with a southern accent...........nuffin............now say it Scottish..............

I’m a bit bored. In bed gotta go to sleep but was hoping for a MN dilemma I could give my opinion to before I snuggle down. No? Ok I’ll give you 3 mins

I think it’s a very Scottish sense of humour. Scottish people are less offended by the word cunt than the English, generally.

Oh no, children will say a word!!

You know they’re all saying it when there’s no adults around anyway, right?

Erm I haven’t seen it but calling someone a cunt in an advert Hmm Doesn’t seem appropriate... however it is iron bru advert so guessing it’s a play on words?

It is a shite advert. The Irn Bru adverts used to be sooooo cool. But you sound like a petty can’t OP.

Ha ha. Do not agree about the Scottish sense of humour. I think if anything Scottish people are a bit more prudish.

Im Scottish and think its funny. Glad Irn Bru (not Iron bru) are back with their usual style of advert.

Everyone says cun't here instead of couldn't it's an accent thing.

Ahh fond memories of bring blindsided when called "a daft wee cunt" as a young graduate when I moved to a Scottish office. I grew to find it quite endearing Grin

Irn BRU adverts are known for this style. The Fanny one still makes me tear up with laughing. one got banned for being offensive to transgender people. It's in you tube "everybody in the world loves irn bru"

Scottish folks tend to say the c word more often in humour from my experience of being Scottish. Don't waste energy getting offended by adverts. They got your attention so for them that's a win!

Plus Irn Bru is pure braw like so try it ya wee radge

found it!!

And I suppose it does say can't as in you can't do that not cunt.

Come on, it's really not offensive. It's just tongue in cheek Scottish humour. It's slightly risqué but no more than that.

Vulgar adverts for a horrible drink. And people wonder why there are terrible tooth decay problems in Scotland?

I think they’re funny. Clearly I’m chavvy and vulgar. I can take that.

@shakeyourcaboose I whistle the tune quite often....i remember this being on when I was a kid and my grandparents tutting away

@Creambun2 nobody wonders why. We all know that soft drinks are bad for teeth.
Just like cream buns aren't good for you either!
