To think this is weird

Basically my mum sent a video to the family WhatsApp of them both in the bath. I just think that it's highly inappropriate for them to still be bathed together! I mean surely there's an age where it just becomes creepy? I wouldn't bathe my 8 month old with a sibling at that age. I might just be over reacting but it's just really creeped me out !

Sorry that was meant to say my niece and nephew still bathing together. He is 8 and she is almost 2

Both of who?

mickeysminnie · 25/02/2018 11:35

You realise none of us know your family?

AmysTiara · 25/02/2018 11:36

An 8 year old and a 2 year old in the bath together isn't creepy. It's weird you think it is.

PuppyMonkey · 25/02/2018 11:36

Oh. But it’s just a family WhatsApp it’s not on FB or anything? Don’t see the issue.

TheQueenOfWands · 25/02/2018 11:36

Bathing together is fine.

Filming it is beyond weird. Sending it around is even weirder. Creepy weirder.

If I also had children I'd be cutting contact.

Pengggwn · 25/02/2018 11:36

He's 8 and you think it's a problem for him to see his baby sibling naked? Or the other way round?

LuigiBoard · 25/02/2018 11:36

Not weird or creepy at all. YABVU

FissionChips · 25/02/2018 11:36

Do you think the 8 year old would have inappropriate thoughts about his 2 year old sister?

Herewegoagainagain · 25/02/2018 11:37

Cross post! I know I was bathed with my younger brother- and cousins, depending on who was around at that age - but after that I would definitely have wanted some space and privacy. Depends on the child I think

DeathStare · 25/02/2018 11:37

Eh? what's weird about it?

MyBrilliantDisguise · 25/02/2018 11:37

You start to realise what the term 'professionally offended ' means with threads like this.

Laurenmclovely · 25/02/2018 11:37

I just think that it's inappropriate for them to be sharing a bath when he is 8! I know it was only to family but it's just the fact of the age gap and the fact they're of the opposite sex

It would be weird if the video was your mum & Dad in the bath together

RebelRogue · 25/02/2018 11:37

You are weird for thinking an 8 month old and a 8 yo in the bath is weird. Same for a 2 and 8 yo. As long as they're happy and comfortable it's fine.

What's weird is that your mum took a video of it and shared it.

witchofzog · 25/02/2018 11:37

Creepy? Are you actually serious? It's you who is weird and creepy for thinking anything of this. Yabvu

MiddleClassProblem · 25/02/2018 11:37

No, not creepy to me. Not sure what my age limit would be. Two teens would be creepy.

I bath with DD 3. Is that creepy? My mum has seen me naked a fair bit as an adult, is that creepy?

Mummyontherun86 · 25/02/2018 11:38

I don’t think it’s inappropriate.

64BooLane · 25/02/2018 11:38

Why inappropriate? In what specific way?

KittysMyName · 25/02/2018 11:38

I think the fact that you think two siblings bathing together is creepy is much more alarming than the bathing. Why on earth is it creepy?

An 8 and 2 year old? You are the weird one, there is nothing in the slightest wrong with that

I thought it was a what's app of your parents bathing together, that would have been weird

Mabelface · 25/02/2018 11:39

Why is it inappropriate? They're children having a bath together, playing in the water.

PuppyMonkey · 25/02/2018 11:39

I think MN has gone a bit batshit this morning.Confused
