...clean egg off saucepans.

Cooking scrambled eggs or poached eggs makes no difference - there is always this horrible egg residue left on the pot. I use either stainless steel or copper pots and would hate to scratch them, so I use the non-abrasive scouring pads to clean them but my goodness it takes forever!

Immediately put in water after cooking. Leave in water. Swish in the evening or the next day or something.

I have a plastic brush shaped like a duck.

Gets everything off my pans.

Use a glass pan!

Soak in cold water. Use spatula to scrape off solids (into bin). Wash as normal.

AS much as I hate them, I always use my non-stick pan for scrambled eggs. It's just not worth the washing up hassle that you are experiencing.

On normal saucepans, stainless steel I mean, I use those fabulous wiry balls which work a treat on anything tricky.

Microwave or non-stick.

Cook the scrambled egg in a glass bowl over boiling water.

Non stick pan if possible, and whatever you do don't let any egg residue dry on - get it washed up or in to soak straight away.
