Just that really. I feel like Momentum are wolves in sheeps clothing. Very worrying, especially I imagine for London's Jews Sad.

Could you explain some of your reasons, I don't know anything about them.

You'd have to show your workings out there as there's nothing in your post to suggest how much (or little) you understand about this group in particular or local government politics in general.

YANBU-they are a bunch of nut jobs. Their ranks include antisemites, socialists, communists and, anarchists. I am always so glad that I have foreign citizenship when I look at Britishbpolotics. It's not pretty on either side.

Momentum are a movement within the Labour Party.

They want to implement extreme policies like those in the former Soviet Union, or Cuba, or Venezuela. Lots of state ownership of assets, lots of political control on what businesses may do and what prices they can charge.

It hasn't worked out well elsewhere.

So they are trying to hide inside the Labour Party (which is much more moderate) and then take control by controlling the Labour Party.

I'm no huge fan of Momentum but they can;t be any worse than a lot of Tory councils who sold everything off to the lowest bidder, can't now meet basic needs for stat services and are going bankrupt

Not just Tory councils that are doing that either.

If they were a right wing group everyone would be up in arms about them but as The Left is traditionally seen as more warm and fuzzy people arent as worried about them as they should be
Bunch of Fascists

no because ALL councils have had their budgets slashed by this government - by millions and millions of pounds - yet Momentum are what scares people?

I think any extreme groups or figures are frightening.

I find John mc Donald as frightening and as impossible to comprehend as Reece Mogg.

Politics in this country is not fit the peaceful moderate majority any more.

Too left, too right or bat shit on trans issues from the Lib Dem’s.

Awful just awful state of affairs

Report

Labour is as bad as lib-dems on trans issues
Momentum now control the Labour party - the most dangerous issue facing this country today.

Well, for starters, a lot of Momentum members have said very dodgy things about Jews. I also don't like the attitude that everything in the private sector is bad and that everything should be nationalised/the public sector is wonderful. They seem to be the left wing version of UKIP, all extremes with no nuances and where UKIP seem to have an aversion to certain ethnic/cultural groups, Momentum seem, in my opinion, to be pretty hostile towards Jews. That's just my impression though. Even (and ironically) the Jewish man who formed Momentum, Jon Lansman, has said they have a problem with Jews;

Yes, they are bullies who are removing a lot of people who have been working for Labour for decades. They are terrifying.

nah people who have been round Labour for years have seen it all before - this too will pass

arf at them controlling the party - I am a member and they certainly don't control my ass

Momentum scare people who are against racism. You can be anti-Momentum without being pro-Tory.

Nothing terrifies me more than this Tory government and its devastating yet ineffectual austerity programme, its headlong descent into an ever madder Brexit ‘strategy’, its sickening attacks on those in receipt of disability benefits, and its contempt for the ordinary working person.

How anyone can vote for this Tory attack on humanity and decency is beyond me

Don't vote Tory.

How anyone can vote for Labour under Corbyn is beyond me.

Because Venezuela is such a shining example of how to run a country. I can’t believe anyone could be thick enough to think it’s going well, but clearly Momentum do.

John McDonnell frightens me more than Rees Mogg to be honest and is one reason I couldn’t vote for Labour.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 23/02/2018 18:05

Sunny, do you know what’s happening in Venezuela at the moment? If you think things are bad here I suggest you read up about it. McDonnell thinks Venezuela wasn’t socialist enough. That should scare anyone.

Momentum, Agent Cob's Labour & the Communist Party of Britain is having a 'cooperation meeting' next month to coordinate on joint aims & activities apparently.

Far scarier than the Tories.
