I know the answer is probably that i am but im taking antibiotics for a dental infection. Ive gradually been feeling more and more sick on them and this evening i cant stop being sick. I really dont want to miss work tomorrow so would i be unreasonable to not take my last ones today and restart them tomorrow afternoon when i finish work?

Is it metronidazole? I had those for a dental infection and they react really badly with the tiniest amount of alcohol - even mouthwash. I had steak with a tiny teaspoon of sauce which turned out to have had some sherry in it while I was on them and i was incredibly sick. Just wondered if it could be that?
How long should you be taking them and what does the patient leaflet say? I'm sure you know that you are supposed to continue antibiotics regularly to the end of the course but if it is a regular side effect I'd expect the leaflet to tell you whether you should continue if you are vomiting.

If you are actually being sick then you may just bring them up anyway. Get some probiotics/ probiotic yogurt as can help with the nausea.

Thanks for the advice i dont drink alchohol or eat food with it in. The peaflet says its a common side effect, to eat plain small meals which i have been doing and to just keep taking them which is anoying. I just keep bringing up chemical tasting stuff. Its horrible.

I second the yoghurt suggestion.

I felt indescribably better after taking it whilst on metronidazole.

Are you eating at the same time as taking the tablet? Metronidazole should be taken with food! It is a common side effect but no you shouldn't stop without speaking to the person that prescribed them

If you stop taking them because they are making you sick (which is entirely reasonable) then you need to go back to whoever prescribed them and get something different otherwise the infection isn't going to be treated properly.
