So... the ranty, sweary, poorly spelled note writing person who abused ambulance drivers got taken to court and got fined.

I also read the Sun's take on it, which made me smile even more

Not sure how that happened, sorry.

She is, as the judge said, vile and despicable!

I don’t think the fine will do anything to change her attitude though, and I bet she only said sorry because her solicitor told her too!

“Twink” is quite a specific word describing a type of man in the gay dating scene IME (job relatedness knowledge).
I’ve not come across it as an insult before!!

Horrid woman. Really amazed at how selfish people can be.

Is it?

In my head it's from the Old English meaning to twinkle (nowadays probably wink). That and a mental image of Maxine Peake in Dinnerladies Smile

In this twink's case it is because of her picture, that perma pout and smile, twinkling for the camera.

She's a knobber of the highest order. I bet she's regretting her actions now.

What on earth was she thinking?.......stupid question, that implies she actually has a brain, which clearly she hasn't.

Talking about 'poorly spelled', it's comeuppance not cummupance

Yes, of course she was idiotic and she's young and this was a very, very stupid thing to do but let's not hound her - being vilified so publicly can be absolutely devastating.

That is awful, the poor neighbours having to put up with the vile idiot.

I see she's jobless as well. This publicity won't help her in that regard. I mean who would hire her now?

Agree with TwitterQueen - yes she did something horrible and I’m glad she has been prosecuted and made an example of so people may think twice about being awful/unhelpful to emergency services . However I don’t like seeing her photo and name in all the papers and it reminds me of the stories in ‘So you’ve been publicly shamed’.

She deserves any opprobrium that comes her way.

Twink is also the name of a 'performer' in Ireland who was most accurately described as Barbies granny. A horrible person who's only contribution to actual entertainment was a dance remix of a leaked voicemail she left her ex husband.

As we all were.

@twitterqueen1 @scipioafricanus

Did you read the articles?

She was also charged with breaking a previous court order. The neighbours said that she terrorises them.

This is not her first indiscretion.

I would also add that I had read a number of articles and this young lady is quite a way down the Nightmare Neighbour road.

Seriously, there is being self centred and then there is shouting and swearing at an ambulance crew for being legally parked and doing their job... saving lives!

How much wriggle room does one sentient being need?

(Oh, and 'spelled' is fine, a tad archaic perhaps, but I dislike using spelt, mainly because that is a type of wheat)

Yes, I read the articles. She sounds like she’s done horrible things. They can and should be punished via the legal system, and be reported by the papers. However, I think that once a story like this goes viral it can get out of control (death threats etc.). I should have said I guess that I don’t like seeing her photo in the paper for that reason. I don’t think she shouldn’t be named and in that way, I suppose, shamed - yet I feel concerned that this can get out of hand and lead to a sort of mob-like feeling which is unpleasant.

The fine is a joke. She doesnt work and will be played out of her benefits in such a miniscule amount she wont notice.

Dunno, anyone using those stupid bunny filters deserves a bit of slapping down personally.

I though a twink was the name for a younger gay man, who dates an older gay man. The twink being the younger man. A la Lance Black and Tom Daley.

Scipio I understand that, which is why I haven't named her and referred to her as a twink... no DM scouring, I hope!

But, to be honest, just the fact that she stood on her own doorstep and shrieked her way to a court appearance is amusing enough to be noted!

It isn't often such a pouty, shouty individual gets collared. Karma seems to avoid them, usually!

Young? She’s not 14. Maybe she should offer to help on a shift at the local a&e and see how hard the crews work.

Danny there are older uses of it! Honest!! As I said upthread a little bit!

My cousin, now 62, has been called Twink since she was about 5. Because she is such a smiley person (and relied upon it to get her anything she wanted). It can derive from twinkle, meaning wink these days, rather than as in little star!

It's sort of a female twonk!
