Ambulance parking: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/02/18/ambulance-crew-receive-angry-note-vehicle-left-residential-parking/
What do we think?

What is it you’re hoping to achieve if they are named and shamed?

@What to deter people from doing the same in the future.

That public disapproval would make them realise it isn’t acceptable to complain about emergency crews parking wherever they need in an emergency. They obviously think they aren’t BU, everyone can tell them they are.

I don’t think it’d make a difference to them if they’ve the brass neck to do it in the first place 🤷‍♀️

Not sure naming and shaming would do any good. If they have the audacity to leave a note on an ambulance they would hardly care what regular joe thinks.

Let's just hope they never need the emergency services hey.

And to all you emergency service staff, huge thank you for all you do and ignore idiots who can't see how lucky they are it wasnt them who needed you.Flowers

Public naming and shaming is horrendous. It's bullying writ large.

But ok if it’s people being antagonistic towards people doing their jobs in an emergency? Maybe they should just be struck off from receiving emergency treatment then?

There should be new laws on obstructing Paramedics, Firemen etc.

There was a terrible case were a driver deliberately wouldn't key an ambulance passed for about 20 minutes, the patient died. She walked free from Court because it wasn't covered in Law, adequately.

I don't agree with naming and shaming because it will be used as an excuse to put her windows in and other criminal stuff. Which would effect everyone living around her, including the person who has been ill.

ideally make it illegal to obstruct emergency services. I’m not against naming & shaming & couldn’t care less if she victimised but that’s not really a proper solution.

I had to sit in a parked car for a good 10-15 minutes as an ambulance was parked in the middle of a residential street. the road layout and parked cars meant that it was unsafe to do a three point turn or reverse out of the road due to blind bends etc.

did not mind at all, especially as an ambulance had blocked the same residential street when dd was havin an anaphylactic reaction.

Let's hope the author of that note doesn't 'colaspe' and need emergency medical treatment.
