Oysterbabe Sun 18-Feb-18 21:54:54

Her DF needs to have a chat.

ManchesterGin Sun 18-Feb-18 21:55:39

2 weeks! That’s madness!!

Schlimbesserung Sun 18-Feb-18 21:55:59

How old is she? It does sound like a really stupid idea for a lot of reasons, but if she is an adult then she has the right to make her own (stupid) decisions.

doodlejump1980 Sun 18-Feb-18 21:56:07

Fuck. No.

BarbarianMum Sun 18-Feb-18 21:56:37

No matter how old she is, trying to conceive a child with someone you've only known a couple of weeks is a terrible idea.

Aprilshowerswontbelong Sun 18-Feb-18 21:56:38

Bet she doesn't even know his shoe size never mind whether he is a good egg yet!!

iBiscuit Sun 18-Feb-18 21:57:10

Unless she's 45 and this is the last chance saloon (and even that's stretching it), she's crazy.

K1092902 Sun 18-Feb-18 21:57:45

25 but very naive IMO.

Snowysky20009 Sun 18-Feb-18 21:58:37

This will be the biggest mistake of her life!!!!

PsychoPumpkin Sun 18-Feb-18 21:58:37

That would be really really silly.

iBiscuit Sun 18-Feb-18 21:59:36

What is her reasoning? confused

formerbabe Sun 18-Feb-18 21:59:41

It's madness to even consider such a thing.

Sarsparella Sun 18-Feb-18 22:01:14

Ridiculous idea, she doesn’t even know if it’s safe to have unprotected sex with this virtual stranger, he could have all sorts of STIs let alone try and have a baby

DSD don’t be daft this man sounds like an idiot, who suggests such a crazy idea to someone after two weeks - two weeks isn’t even a relationship, it’s barely even dating

glitterbiscuits Sun 18-Feb-18 22:01:19

Don’t do it! If he loves you, he will wait

madein1995 Sun 18-Feb-18 22:01:52

Very very daft of her. Maybe having a calm chat with her (both you and her DF). No arguments, shouting etc, just a calm adult discussion. Do it in a few days time when things are settled and she's in a good mood. Prepare for her arguments/reasons - 'I love him' etc etc. Make her think about the practicalities, no reason not to wait. Try and get her to consider whether a decent/genuine man would be asking her to try for a baby after only 2 weeks.

OutyMcOutface Sun 18-Feb-18 22:02:29

I would actually be concerned that he has some kind of impregnation fetish.

BrieAndChilli Sun 18-Feb-18 22:02:43

There’s only a couple of scenarios I can think of (no sane normal man would want a baby with someone they barely know!!)

He’s a control freak and wants to get her pregnant so she will be tied to him and less likely to leave him

He’s not British? And wants a visa based on the fact he has a child in the UK?

TellsEveryoneRealFacts Sun 18-Feb-18 22:03:00

red flags right there...does she know about red flags?

Dolphincrossing Sun 18-Feb-18 22:04:18

Maybe she wants to recreate the loving mother relationship she clearly has with you hmm

Cheesenacho123 Sun 18-Feb-18 22:05:14

I’m 23, I was 21 when I got pregnant the only difference was I’d been with my boyfriend for 6 years, my mum still went ballistic at me. Someone you’ve only known a couple weeks isn’t the right person to have a baby with just yet. No judging, he might be a great father but you honestly don’t know a person until you’ve lived with them for a long time. Just think about what your doing! You think your mum doesn’t understand, she does! She may not give the advice you want to hear, but she’ll always be right!

She is 25 and has "asked" if she can come off the pill? Who has she asked and why?

AvocadosBeforeMortgages Sun 18-Feb-18 22:05:39

Is her life's ambition to be a single parent?

If not, she's mad
