Yep. Total rip off from the other thread but I need some suggestions.

Mine are Captain Correllis Mandoline (I was gutted at how awful the film was) and On Green Dolphin Street (oh the end!).

Lightning by Dean Koontz. I first read it in my teens and it's still my favourite. Not high brow, I know, but I love it.

Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Incredible book. Almost everyone I know who has read it has loved it and been completely gripped by it. Even the 2 or 3 people who would say they didn't actually enjoy it as such, has said that they couldn't put it down while reading it.

I love Rachels Holiday by Marian Keyes. I love all MK's books involving the Walsh family. Also really love the Helen Grace series by MJ arlidge

I have a terrible memory for past books but I have just finished reading Du Maurier's My Cousin Rachel and absolutely loved it.

I loved I capture the castle by Dodie Smith, Kate Atkinson’s Behind the Scenes at the Museum, A fine balance forgotten who wrote it - only read it once but have never ever forgotten it and it’s wonderdul life affirming message. A thousand splendid suns....the tears the many many tears....ditto captain Corelli. Fav classic Pride and prejudice. Most read book - Bridget jones’ splendid diary (used to read the column every Tuesday in the independent, and was so excited when the book came out. I loved her. Oh and I love all Shardlakes and Harry Potters 😀

A more recent favourite is Liar Moon by Ben Pastor, which helped me heal after a period of great personal difficulty.
