Can I have an abortion if I’m ill?

Basically I’m due to have an abortion 20/02/18 and I will be 6weeks and 2 days, it was going to be on the Monday just gone but I felt upset etc and just started crying. The thing is now I’m ill, like chest cough with dark yellow mucus, I have a temperature and I keep getting really hot and cold but waking up covered in sweat. I’m not sleeping well bc of the cough either. I can’t keep this pregnancy I need to finish my degree and I already have a daughter, but I know the longer I was the less likely I am to go through with it as I will get more attached ad I want to do it when I won’t see a foetus passed as I know I couldn’t cope with that or a later surgical abortion. So basically 111 think it’s a chest infection, if it is will they give me antibiotics and if I have antibiotics will I beable to have the abortion on Tuesday ?

Okay I’m going to call them now, I find this all so stressful/upsetting as it is, being ill on top of it just makes it worse. Thank you xx

I’m sure it won’t make any difference. I took a friend to the clinic once and she had a vomiting bug. We kept stopping the car so she could puke. She managed to keep it in while she was at the clinic even though she looked like death warmed up. The procedure was successful.

I would have said no for a surgical abortion as you would be getting GA but I think you'll be fine for medical abortion.

Take care of yourself, get chocolate in, plan a pizza, hot water bottle and a day or two on the sofa if possible.
