To answer, no I don't think I am, because until more people get angry about this, it's going to keep happening.

I believe passionately in fairness within sport. This isn't fair.

Was there no other trans thread anywhere you could have posted on? Grin

There are going to be women seriously hurt by this man - men playing contact sports against women is seriously not on

I did search for a thread - I could only find one in Feminist Chat from October about this, and that was obviously before this was a done deal.

If there is another one I've missed then please post a link to it and everyone can go there instead.

There's one in feminist chat...about this same thing with the same link to the news report.

Many people posted on that thread before the decision was made and are probably unaware that what was a possibility is now a reality, so I don't think this thread is redundant. I just wish the title was clearer so people could click if interested or avoid if not.

Thanks. I searched for the name of the trans woman, which is why it didn't come up and haven't been on for a few days so missed it when it was posted.

I don't see why that thread can't continue now the decision is made. There are so many trans threads at the moment in all different topics.

ilovesooty · 14/02/2018 13:24

I wish we could just have a trans topic.

There have been requests but people say they don't want it hidden away. Raising awareness and all that.

But I think it would be a good idea.

Notthemessiah · 14/02/2018 13:26

No - totally agree - would not have started this one if the search had thrown up that there was another in AIBU already.

Tbf, if we are to have a trans board then I also think we need a MiL board or a Weddings board.

Report
Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2018 14:05

And a parking board. Please. I don't want to see another stupid diagram ever again.

I'm very excited to see that women are now stronger than ever! I look forward to new records being set!

I just hope that the day comes when these women no longer are compelled to take drugs in an attempt to make them as weak as cis! It's not fair and it's discrimination! If a woman wishes to take hormones for their appearance, of course that is her business. But I think if women are women then they should be allowed to utilise their natural strength and ability, without transphobic handicapping.

Nope, I'd rather have them out in the open,as that way it opens more people's eyes!
If there was a board to hide away all threads, people would still be in the dark over it all. Including me.
This cis b**cks etc (that's women, actual women, getting re-labelled and sidelined. You're apparently not a woman any more. You're a cis one.)
Hide the threads if you hate them that much. It's not that hard. I had to do it when the boards were overrun by remain and leave arguments just after the referendum.

The above was posted for the sake of debate/goading. If I were pro trans activism, then I honestly would believe it.

Really hope this is sarcasm failing to come across or trolling.

It doesn't open the eyes of people who see the word 'trans' roll their eyes and Hide Thread immediately. Or people that aren't interested in reading it all.

Just because it's not all over Chat and AIBU doesn't mean it's hidden away. Confused

If you want to talk about trans stuff a lot-go to the topic?

JoyTheUnicorn · 14/02/2018 14:15

It's important that these threads are seen, so hopefully we don't sleepwalk into a situation where women's sport is dominated by transwomen, and women aren't allowed to object as it'll be considered hate speech.

Report
Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2018 14:16

They can still be 'seen' even in their own topic though.
