Joking —I think—

I just need a rant! I’m as calm as calm can be towards him but tonight’s thread is dedicated to his ability to completely fucking re-write history. The smallest of things, the big things.

His brain completely fucking alternates what actually happened.

‘Co-parenting’ with someone with the emotional intelligence of a 10 year old is fucking hard work

Sorry, I’m my rage I forgot I posted Blush

Just having a normal adult conversation about plans for dd. There’s an activity that dd would like to do on “ex’s day”. Except ex has a massive history of letting her down, as in too many times to mention.

He often cuts contact short or doesn’t show and leaves me to pick up the pieces.

Until tonight when I broach the subject of him maybe doing this activity(thinking it would be good for dd and give their time together purpose) and this isn’t acceptable as it’s his only day for a lie in(with a 6 year old!) and it demonstrates how I “deduct” from his time as a father as I’ve done numerous times in the past(i haven’t)

I just wonder how someone can convince themselves of what they want to believe? As in, he actually 1 million per cent thinks that all the times he’s not shown, or been late or brought back early is my fault? He says it, and actually believes it.

It just got me tonight, I mostly handle his narc ways and I don’t get wound up but the re-writing of the past really pisses me off

I will get my shovel and we can pop him under the patio.

I wonder if we can get a discount on a hitman as my ex is an Arsehole too

Crazycatladyx5 · 12/02/2018 22:48

Totally reasonable I think.
My ex is the same......incredibly childish & selfish.....does things to spite me but it's DD who suffers. He left me for someone else but makes out like he's the victim. It's extremely difficult communicating with him when he just won't see I'm actually putting DDs needs & wishes first. And I don't actually do anything to spite him.
I think they really believe the world should revolve round them.

Oh I have an exh who sounds very similar. We could dig a large hole together and pop them in it....

Grin we could start a just giving page for contributions towards hit men for arsehole ex’s

Honestly, the psychology of it actually interests me! Tonight he said that “this used to happen with swimming too, you stopped me seeing dd cos you just had to take her swimming”

What actually happened(once!)was that he asked dd what she would like to do, take me swimming daddy she said. Oh I hate swimming, your mum can pick you up early and take you cos I’ve got stuff to do.

I removed it well because it was the day after my birthday and I was hungover to buggery and swimming wasn’t part of the plan Grin

Now, less than 3 months later, he uses that as an example of how I DEDUCT time from him as a father. Like what happens? They can’t just forget, his actual brain makes him believe his own bullshit?!

Nah sod that I think dispose of them Wicker Man style, could all dance round them with flowers in our hair and togas. 💃

Report
chibsortig · 12/02/2018 23:12

JCB sounds like a good idea as although i have a shovel i suspect I would be better at hitting my ex with it than digging a hole. I reckon i'd run out of puff quite early on and thats why hes not currently under the patio i keep promising myself a'la brookside style.

Can I join?
Ex agrees to take the dds to activities but either can't cope, can't paul or can't get them there on time or complains about it. I can't trust him to achieve the task so activities can only be on my days with them.

And it's always someone else's fault he was late/incompetent.

But sooooo relating to 'emotional intelligence of a 10 year old'

May I suggest you use insulin, then it will look natural and no digging required! Also toss your phone into the sea! (You're welcome 😉)

I have big dogs, German Shepherds, 3 of them. I could starve them for a few weeks and send them round. No need for shovels.
