What’s the one thing that your colleagues do that drive you up the wall - emails without subject lines does it for me.

OP posts:
peachypetite · 11/02/2018 17:52

Being copied in when you don't need to be!

Dipitydoda · 11/02/2018 17:53

Corporate speak esp “ I’ll loop back” makes me want to punch people in the face

Rubyslippers7780 · 11/02/2018 17:54

Thought shower, blue sky thinking, let's park that idea... WANK OFF

Sweetpea55 · 11/02/2018 17:54

"" I'm reaching out to you "

MrsMaxwell · 11/02/2018 17:55

Having an email cascaded to the team from senior management and then your direct manager sending to you again Angry

FatBottomedGal · 11/02/2018 17:55

People that type really loudly or talk out loud when they’re typing. Basically making any noise whatsoever annoys me Grin

Dancingfairydreams · 11/02/2018 17:55

People sitting at my desk when I'm not there & moving my stuff!

MrsMaxwell · 11/02/2018 17:56

People who think the “clear desk policy” doesn’t apply to them Hmm

TuftedLadyGrotto · 11/02/2018 17:56

People who reply all to emails, when they are replying just to original sender. So after 15 mins your inbox is full of emails of no relevance to you.

And what MrsMaxwell said. My manager does this all the time.

NullaG · 11/02/2018 17:56

All the fucking porridge. Hate the smell of it and it seems like half the fucking office eat it at their desks between 7 & 9.

falsepriest · 11/02/2018 17:57

"It's quite quiet, think I'll nip off early"

Yes it's quiet because we're getting ready for lots of guests to ARRIVE.

(Hospitality)

PatchworkElmer · 11/02/2018 17:57

People inviting me to meetings on days they know I don’t work (my days off are in my outlook calendar as well).

Pickleypickles · 11/02/2018 17:58

I have a colleague that rams under my nose plays me videos of happy pigs when im trying to eat my bacon butty in the morning. Dont know if thats what you were thinking but it really annoys me! Smile

ARichVernacular · 11/02/2018 17:58

Leaving their dirty crocks in the sink / not stacking the dishwasher properly (or at all) / not emptying the dishwasher. Lazy bastards.

Also yes to subjectless emails, plus documents that aren't named properly (or at all). I have a colleague who always does this; every email from her has no title and often comes with an untitled document attached, which makes searching for a specific thing really fucking difficult.

She also does Reply All "thanks [name]" every time. It's a good job she's a nice person!

maddiemookins16mum · 11/02/2018 17:58

Ex colleague now (thank god), but lateness. Every morning he'd trot in at 09.08 am, never uttered a word (holding his Costa).
Turned out if he got the 0812 train he'd be at work 'too early' - meaning 0845 ish.
By getting the next train, which got to the station nearest to the office at 0855 followed by a 10 min walk, (then he'd not be, ahem, sat around doing nothing.
Drove me feckin mad.

MrsMaxwell · 11/02/2018 17:58

TuftedLadyGrotto

Yes - I work in Chidrens Servives so when people reply to all it goes to thousands of people - Grin

justdontevenfuckingstart · 11/02/2018 17:58

I have 'my pile' if I email my colleague about something, he will print it off and stick it back in 'my pile' I don't need a copy, I sent it to you in the fucking first place!

Sorka · 11/02/2018 17:59

Noisy eaters. Especially those who loudly brag about their healthy grazing diet, and then spend all day crunching on apples and sucking on plums.

Also people who shout instead of speak.

One person in my office is constantly either shouting or chewing. Just sshh some of us are trying to do the work we’re paid to do.

Eminybob · 11/02/2018 17:59

People who are just completely incapable/unwilling to do the job they are paid to do. Fucking sick of a carrying them.

Jaguarana · 11/02/2018 17:59

My colleague who talks to herself all the time. One time I heard her muttering to herself under her breath about something I'd done that she didn't like, obviously not realising I could hear her. Silly mare.

WipsGlitter · 11/02/2018 18:00

Micromanagement - so my boss taking it upon herself to do something when me and a colleague had already completed it. If she did her own job properly we'd all be happier.

Laziness / complaining about having too much work when you faff about and make a two minute task last two hours.

Sniffing.

Not acknowledging or addressing the office bully / bitch.

Dizzylin · 11/02/2018 18:00

People not listening, I do training of new team members, one particular guy asks for advice (fine) but then will ask the same question a few days later about the same thing! He's not even that new to the job anymore (over six months). I've come to the conclusion he wants me to do the thing for him!

People who constantly go on about how snowed under they are who are actually doing fuck all.

ilovesooty · 11/02/2018 18:02

Receiving multiple emails and texts last week reminding me to complete the staff survey. I filled in the fucking thing within 10 minutes of it being sent out.

Hogtini · 11/02/2018 18:04

Loud sighing, loud yawning followed by 'ohhh excuse me..oh', people who arrive for work late then within 10 mins are back out for a fag/vape break or off for breakfast, micromanaging, personal phone calls, loudness on the phone...I think i have misophonia! Grin
