To be worried and confused? Weird light period after chemical pregnancy

Hoping for help, reassurance or possibly to be told that I am right to worry! Been TTC about 15 months, had two miscarriages last year and a chemical pregnancy last month. With the chemical, I got BFP on 9th Jan, which would have been CD32, but began bleeding on 12th. Bled heavily until 18th. Then I ovulated on 28th, which would have been CD17 taking the first day of my chemical pregnancy bleed as the first day of my period. This all seemed fairly normal and I was pleased because it seemed that my cycle had resumed as it should.

However, this month has been really weird. I had one spot of brown blood last Saturday 3rd Feb, which was CD 23, after DTD. Then began very light brown spotting on Monday. I was initially excited, because I thought it might be implantation bleeding (and posted on here for advice, of course :)) But the spotting continued and got a little heavier, but not much. Now it's Saturday and it's been enough to wear a pad for about 3 days, but only just. It's mainly brown with the occasional smear of red. Also I don't really have cramps.I don't know what's happening!

I'm worried because this is so very different from my normal period, which is usually very heavy and painful. What do you think could be going on? Should I go to the doctor or is this normal after a chemical pregnancy? Any advice would be really appreciated, or if anyone has had any similar experiences.

Also, I don't know if this is related but I am also experiencing constant mild nausea. It's really mild though and seems to go away when I eat.

Really sorry to hear about your difficulties TTC and your losses. Have you had a negative test since the CP?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have had negative tests. I took one yesterday even though I was bleeding and it was negative.

Update - it's Sunday morning where I am and there were only a few tiny spots of blood on the pad when I went to the loo. Then when I wiped there was a streak of red. This is not normal and I'm really worried :(

I'm not a doctor or anything (so take my opinion with a pinch of salt!), but I have some personal experience with similar situations... chances are it is just some combination of hormones and stress temporarily affecting your body, but as it is causing you concern it is definitely best to see the GP. It's a difficult enough time as it is without worrying about things which you could be professionally reassured about.

Thank you @AnonymousName. I think I will try to make a doctor's appointment tomorrow if it continues like this. It's just so weird! Now having some period pains but only about a quarter to a third of my normal flow :(

This exact thing is happening to me right now. Did you ever figure out what was going on?

I know this thread is very old but did anybody have this and found out what it was? I am experiencing this right now and I am getting pretty worried about it.
