Reasons for:
Husband on a boys trip out of the country, left with the 6 month old
Last thing I wanna do is cook for myself
Biscuits for dinner would surely be as bad/ possibly worse

Reasons against
No home delivery takeaways are that cheap
I have steak and prawns in the fridge that need eating
I haven’t shifted baby weight yet
Will I just feel worse after eating it...grease guilt!

If you know you'll feel worse after eating it don't do it.

Oh, absolutely get takeaway. Your husband's trip won't have been cheap (not as cheap as a takeaway anyway) and I doubt he'll be cooking for himself tonight so why should you.

So order away, sod the cost and enjoy it! If it's any consolation, I've just cooked dinner tonight after takeaway every weekend for the last 3 months weeks, so I totally cancel you out Wink

Depends on the quality of the takeaway. There's a great Turkish house near me that does a wonderful grilled lamb ... this place needs a dribble emoticon

It would likely be a kebab (chicken shish, salad and chips) or an Indian...(no decent chinese’s round here and not a huge fan of a takeaway pizza)

Indian . . . (I second the dribble emoticon).

Prawn Bhuna and a plain boiled rice are one of the most diet friendly curries you can go for. Obviously it’s still an unhealthy takeaway, but less so X

Get takeaway and freeze the other stuff.

Treat yourself. I'm dying for a takeaway but I need to stay strong as I'm on a diet. Have a kebab for me 😃

If you're considering an Indian, YWBVVU not to.

Treat yourself. I'm waiting on my Indian takeaway being delivered. Wine in the fridge chilling.

seriously, how much effort is it to cook a steak and throw some salad on a plate?

Chicken shashlik from the indIan takeaway is fairly diet friendly Wink

I would get a takeaway (problem is you have to order more than you want quite often when alone to get over the limit although that’s easier with Indian/Chinese) but then... steak takes minutes to cook, slice it and whack it in a baguette with some horseradish... mmmmmm

Even with my low cooking ability, I'd never choose a takeaway over delic surf & turf at home

If you're going to do the steak, fry some onions to go on top with the prawns and then slather the whole thing in garlic/herb butter. If you don't have any garlic/herb butter you can just put a slab of salted butter on top with some finely minced garlic and whatever fresh herbs you have if any. If you feel like mixing the butter with the garlic first, do that. If not just whack it all together!

Surf and turf is a revolting concept.

Get the takeaway but choose the lightest option and no sides.

Takeaway is always a bit of a let down. I would go for the steak and prawns.
