I think I might just lie on the sofa...

I've just had 2 days at home by myself (DP away with work).

I read, knitted, watched films on netflix, went for walks, cooked, and was generally very lazy.

Sleep

Lie on the sofa and watch something on Netflix.

Drink lots of tea & feast on the Marks and Spencer's hot cross buns I read about on another thread.

Make to-do lists about the cleaning, de-cluttering, DIY I need to do.

Roll over and sleep some more.

I'd probably clean a lot. I would want to go for a swim, have dinner out, come home and watch a film and drink a bottle of wine, sleep off my hangover, have a greasy brunch and go for a long walk.

Sleep.
Then sleep some more.

Do you mean a whole 48 hours with no work, no kids, no partner, nowhere to be?

If so I would like to think I would book a couple of nights in a nice hotel in the countryside and do lots of reading, eat nice food and get a spa treatment.

In reality what I would actually do is stay up til 3am binge watching Netflix and eating crappy junk food that isnt worth the caloreies then sleep in the next day, stay in pyjamas for the whole two days and then feel shit at the end of it for wasting my break Grin

At the moment, sleep, bubble bath, pjs sofa Netflix and repeat. I would get everything in that I needed, (wine, cigs, snack food) and have a complete rest.

If it was better weather and I had more money I would probably go out walking on the moors, or at the beach, maybe spend a night in a hotel, and mooch around having coffee, relax with a book and maybe a bit of retail therapy.

But it’s winter so I love to hibernate.

Book the room with the softest, biggest bed in a nice hotel, with cloud-like pillows. Have a steaming hot bath (with adult bubbles), with a book, chocolates and a glass of champagne. Dry off with a massive, warm towel and slip into a fleecy white dressing gown. Wander over to a big armchair, order tea, finish book. Jump into the bed, sleep for 48 hours.

What Radio said. Except gin and tonic instead of champagne. And just sleep for 12 hours, then go for a long walk on the beach by myself with no one whining!

Not quite the same but me and DH recently had a few days without the kids.
I watched 5 movies, we ate pizza, slept in, went back to bed when we wanted. It was amazing Grin

Read. As many books as I could without being constantly interrupted! Bliss.

Oh crap telly, nice meal somewhere, but actually I'd be a bit lost.

Sad isn't it?

Sahm and if I'm not with DS i'm having a few hours out alone but after a couple of hours I want to go home, or I'm working at my volunteer job so still very busy.

If I had the cash I might go down to London and visit friends, walk round the shops, I actually like London as a relaxing spit, something about the crowds. Do the museum's, the parks etc

Sleep. Have a little pamper. Watch netflix on the couch. Order takeaway. Have several glasses of wine. Sleep some more. Rinse and repeat the next day.

Read a book in the bath. Then rad a book in the bed. Then read a book in the bath again. You get the idea.

Fly somewhere for a 24-36hr hit of excitement/culture/variety.

Alternatively, clean and declutter, go for a run, redeem a Christmas voucher for a salon treatment and have a nice coffee. Go for a long blustery walk at a NT property and have a soup lunch. Eat cheese and crackers for dinner and get an early night with some nice chocolates and my Kindle.

DH and I crammed loads into just 24hrs away a couple of years ago, it felt like we’d had three days away. It was our first joint night away from the DC ever though (9 years in the waiting!)

Watch netfix, drink too much, eat too much, be mad at myself for wasting a whole two days.

Travel. I would go away for the weekend and do something alone and in peace, eat good food and drink wine. In fact, I do this one a year. I fly somewhere relatively close by, sightseeing, meals out, wine, reading a book, and having a lie in. It's wonderful. I come back feeling so refreshed and like my old self again.

It depends really. Given my current financial situation, I'd probably get up early and drive down to the coast, go for a long walk with my dog, followed by coffee and a pastry. Other than that, Yoga, clean the house, read, watch TV.

If I had the money, I'd go away somewhere. Either a yoga retreat or city break, somewhere like Barcelona.
