cologne gift

My partner's grown up son gave him cologne. I've always thought these things, scent and so on, are rather romantic gifts. I found it a little weird. My partner doesn't wear cologne, but his son asked him what he wears and so on.
Is it just me?

Yes it's just you

Perhaps he thinks his Dad's 'cologne' needs updating.

Just you. My mum and MIL have often bought me perfume, and I've done the same for them.

Yep it's you who has the strange views. I have a colleague who thinks only men should buy a woman jewellery that's weird too.

Just you. I have bought perfume for friends and family and once a tiny bottle for a leaving present as a colleague had always been complimentary about my perfume.

Just you, I buy perfume for friends often if I know their favourite scents.

There's no such thing as a "romantic" gift. Romance is all about the lovely actions, not the gifts.

Just you I'm afraid.

I've given cologne to most male members at some point.
