What radio do you listen to in the morning

Listened to Radio 2 forever but Chris Evans is just talking too much now and is getting v annoying. I don't generally have an opinion on him but it does seem to have become all about him.

When he actually plays music I like the stuff they play. I don't mind some chat and a bit of early morning inane nonsense is fine.

So what do you listen to that is radio 2 type music and a bit of chat?

I don't think I even knew that existed! I will check it out. Thanks.

Heart is a bit boring. Radio 4 is too serious. Radio 1 is just... husband has been putting Karrang on which is a bit too much for me every day.

Is Absolute London centric? I have it in my mind that it is?

Mercury, I sometimes catch VF on the show before Chris Evans. Not a huge fan tbh. She must be exhausted doing two shows straight after each other though!

Absolute, if there's a record I don't like I can change for 80's, 90's or Absolute Rock.

Shame the OC is leaving soon though. But their inane talking can get a bit much!!!

I wish Sara Cox would do the breakfast show full time but I don’t mind Chris too much.

He does get a bit, very full of himself some days though!

Radio 4, but I am getting quite fed up with Humphreys. Jo Swindon was great this morning asking him if he'd apologised to Carrie Gracie yet. The huffing was epic.

  1. Dc know most of the djs now. Ds met certs bAck in September and was made up (but not as much as me. I almost told her I'd danced on a table at one of her gigs in 97; but no one likes being reminded how old they are.)

Tim Lihoreau on classic fm is great, it's mostly music but punctuated with gentle 'dad jokes' and dedications to toddlers being taken to nursery and kids taking violin exams.
