To want ridiculous shoes?

I'm currently shopping for shoes for a specific occasion and in my travels through the Internet shoe shopping world I have come across Irregular Choice and Ruby Shoo and I think I'm in love a bit! Problem is I own nothing fancy enough to wear with beautiful shoes and rarely wear heels and tend towards the boring in my clothes and shoe choices but I still want a pair of beautifully coloured shoes ha ha!

Can anyone recommend similarly priced brands of the same off beat style that do lower heels please?

I have about 12 pairs of Irregular Choice and a couple of pairs of Ruby Shoo they all look good with jeans! Where them where ever you like. Ruby Shoo do some lower ones, or take a look at Joe Browns

Just came across John Brown's on eBay and they are lovely too! I tend to wear "boyfriend" fit jeans so a bit baggy to wear with nice shoes?

Check eBay! I love Irregular Choice, but can’t justify paying their prices. Quite often people seem to buy them for an event then sell them, so you can get second hand in really good condition.

I've got loads of Irregular Choice - one pair in particular are ridiculously high and have only been worn for a few hours - I got a lot of compliments on them though!

Thanks Mamagiraffe, I've been looking at the lower heeled ones because the highest heels I own are 2.5" and I don't think I'd manage anything higher ha ha!

Do invest in some irregular choice shoes op. I wore some mid heel IC at my wedding and they were so comfortable. I have no blisters from them , I hadn't worm heels for 10 years before wearing them either.

I love my Ruby shoos. They aren't very high and they are super comfortable.

See, I think you don't need 'fancy clothes' with IC shoes because the shoes speak for themselves. I have a few pairs and often wear them with black. The shoes are the first thing you notice.

Irregular choice look awesome worn with jeans. I have 60 plus pairs and have loved them forever. I actually bought a pair today, the sale on the website is at the lowest its likely to go. I have attached a pic of my shoe display and two pics of the ones I am desperate to add to my collection.

Ooh that's good MagicFajita it's wedding shoes I was supposed to be looking at when I got distracted by the colours ha ha! I did wonder if I should take a pair of flats on the day because as much as I want a little extra height on the day I didn't think I'd make it all the way through the evening even in low heels. I'll still take some just in case but it's good to know they're comfortable.

I've been looking at the pre-owned shoes too SwarmOfCats and they do sell very reasonably and have been in very good condition, tbh it's a reasonable price on new shoes (mostly) but I don't often spend that much on myself especially on something I wouldn't use every day. I think that's what's holding me back here, my DP just pointed out I have Birthday money from months ago still to spend and it's an investment right

I wore irregular choice "Mrs Lower" for my wedding day.
They are now worn regularly with jeans for nights out, shopping trips any excuse Really!

Ruby Shoo do some lower heels as well, although none I've got are particularly high. They are addictive though.

Check out Secret Sales. they take an age to deliver, but they often have Shoos at half price or better.

Just be warned that Ruby Shoos are addictive. I bought one pair on holiday in Cornwall once. I now have 12 pairs so far.

I wore red sparkly shoes with my wedding dress. They weren't under as my dress was short than full length, but spectacularly colourful shoes would be fab with a wedding dress!

Also, if you wanted to go cream/ivory shoe they do them too.

My friend did - she wore a cream dress and then had bright red shoes and red flowers. Looked great!

My wedding shoes were burgundy, my dress covered them so they only peeked out a little when I walked. Who says wedding shoes have to be cream/white? Go with what you like.
