Unicorns. I was trying to buy my daughter some t-shirts and struggled to find anything that didn’t have a unicorn design. So I searched for unicorns on their site and there are SIXTY SIX unicorn offerings for girls in their range. What the fuck is that all about?

There are ZERO for boys BTW

Not just next. All shops seem unicorn mad atm.

Next is just shit. The quality is dreadful, outdated designs and cuts, odd sizing and much too expensive for what it is. Never understand why people get up at 4am to go to the sale. We all like different things though, doesn't mean my opinion is right!
The unicorn obsession has obviously replaced the pug obsession from last year.

YY what's with all the Unicorns? I was in a huge Next yesterday and noticed the most hideous Unicorn duvet cover.

As an aside though this Next had a Patisserie Valerie in it. Confused

Don’t go in the children’s section now. But ventured in store today and it’s all like Per Una. Nasty prints, ruffles, cheap fabric, badly cut.

Unicorns are fecking everywhere which massively sucks for my daughter because she hates them (“ponies with penises stuck on their heads” is what she calls them).

I’m hoping it dies down soon because frankly I’m sick of looking at them. Have you tried H&M btw? They’re often good for plainer stuff or interesting patterns and things.

Next boys clothes are excellent. As are Tescos (if not smaller fitting sizes). The girls are shite.

I buy on the clearance page only though so its actually cheaper than buying full price even compared to Primark.

M&S used to be brilliant, they are now shite. Matalan are now charging Next prices for quality no better than Primark or Peacocks.

I'm starting to wonder where the hell to buy the rest of his clothes in the future because I certainly can't afford Boden or JoJo 😂

I've been disappointed with everything I've had from Patisserie Valerie, and I LOVE cakes so it surprised me after all the rave reviews I've heard.

I've got to find a cuddly toy horse for my niece and all I can find are unicorns. She doesn't want a unicorn ever since she heard the 'never play leapfrog with a unicorn' joke.

Also, Next used to be great but it's been shit for years now.

The unicorn obsession has obviously replaced the pug obsession from last year.

I came on to say this.

agreat I think they were bought by a PE investor a few years ago and the quality went south.

It's just a trend, it'll pass.

As for Patisserie Valerie, that's just grim. Horrible synthetically tasting factory made food at ridiculous prices.

It a daft affectation and I see adults indulging in it,and is twee attention seeking

Trinity I really like Landsend - their full price stuff is expensive but their sale stuff is usually really good value.

Bloody unicorns. They are just weaponised horses. They are sneaky and up to something....

I don't like them either.

I love a bit of sparkle and whimsy but even I have reached peak unicorn.

I was scrolling though videos on my phone and a cake one came on. As soon as I realised it was a bloody unicorn I scrolled on by.

I am utterly bemused by the unicorn thing.
At Christmas a family member gave my cat a unicorn outfit Confused
Needless to say the cat had far too much self-respect to co-operate in wearing it.

I couldn't understand why you would need a Patisserie Valerie in a Next shop. I didn't stop to see what they sold.

Unicorns are on trend right now. And llamas. I prefer llamas, personally. This is my friend Oslo.

That is odd. I can understand pairings like we have in our town like the Post Office in WH Smith as at least they're vaguely linked, products-wise.

A cake shop in a clothing store sounds quite bizarre!

My son is keen on unicorns, but as a pp said unicorn boy-clothes are, um, as rare as actual unicorns. Who decided unicorns were only for girls?

Report
TheDramaLlama · 13/01/2018 20:56

Yes, unicorns everywhere and llamas too!
