To have only just realised I could be pregnant

Posting for traffic. Name says it all.

DP and I have only DTD once since DS was born, about 2 months ago due to combination of him working away and cosleeping making it difficult. We didnt use protection as I'm EBF and it was kind of a 'fuck it' moment.

Last two days have had awful gas, bloating and weird metallic taste in my mouth. Was burping endlessly in the car and DP said 'haha wow the only time I've seen you this bad is when you were pregnant'. It was just a passing comment but thinking about it I do feel exactly as I did a year ago when in first trimester.

Oh God I'm pregnant aren't I?! I need to take a test but it's 1am and I'm panicking. 5mo is asleep next to me.

Don't even know what I'd do. I'd love another baby but how the hell would we cope with a just 1 year old and a newborn? Oh lordy.

Haha, indeed it was !

It does sound like you are pregnant, whilst two young ones can be tricky it's also lovely to have two close together. I hope you are happy with the result when you test.

Try to relax. Even if you are pregnant, it will all work out, I promise.

This happened to me.
There are 11 months between my youngest dds.
I was 8 weeks when I found out and spent the first few months in denial!
They’re 6 and 7 now and it’s pretty special. Hard work but very rewarding, most people think they’re twins as they’re so alike!
It’ll be fine.

Mine aren't quite that close together but what I did learn is that having them close together is hard work when they're little but brilliant when they're a bit bigger.

To be fair, gas, bloating and wind are not uncommon just after Christmas......

My younger sister has two 11 months apart and she loves it, she does find it very hard at times but she says she loves having them close together smile

ARudeAwakening Sat 30-Dec-17 08:12:36

Oh congrats! I often wish mine were close in age, they fight a lot and there's 5 years between them!!

PeoniesforMissAnnersley Sat 30-Dec-17 08:14:51

Very exciting OP!

Hope you get the result you want. Such a small gap is exhausting but has lots of positives.

NotAgainYoda Sat 30-Dec-17 08:26:17

Could be sprouts?

Hope it's the news you want

Afreshnewyearplease Sat 30-Dec-17 08:26:35

16 months between my eldest two and they are thick as thieves (most of the time)

Mrsmadevans Sat 30-Dec-17 08:28:46

best thing that ever happened to me tbh there is 17 months between mine hope the result is what you want

rainbowstardrops Sat 30-Dec-17 08:29:55

It could just be gas from the Christmas festivities. Take a test and find out!

Nousernameforme Sat 30-Dec-17 08:42:29

14 months between my two eldest and they are fab together. Even now 14 years later despite teen squabbles
