Be glad to. Well not glad to because this should never have happened.
Praying that this lovely family are reunited soon. Bless them

What Awwlook said, with bells on. I sincerely hope that she is reunited with her family soon.

Her name is Nazanin by the way. Agree with your sentiments though! Wishing she is released any moment.

honeysucklejasmine Wed 27-Dec-17 20:58:51

Has there been an update on her situation?

RoderickRules Wed 27-Dec-17 20:58:52

I’m in

In. I've been following her situation for over a year now since reading an Amnesty report about her.

I've asked for the spelling in the thread title to be corrected.

ScouseQueen Wed 27-Dec-17 21:02:52

Last I read was the announcement from Iran that she was now eligible for early release. That prompted a flurry of hope that she might get home for Christmas, but no more developments yet.

Been following her story closely in the Guardian. Must have been a nightmare having Bojo go over there to 'fight' her cause but her husband seems to be very stoic. I'd have been in despair.

PerpendicularVincent Wed 27-Dec-17 21:03:52

I so hope she is released soon.

AnneLovesGilbert Wed 27-Dec-17 21:04:11

I’m in. My heart goes out to her, her parents, her daughter and her brave husband, all the people fighting for them. Hope they’re reunited soon.

ButchyRestingFace Wed 27-Dec-17 21:05:48

Here’s hoping she gets released for January 1st. 🤞🙏

I'm praying she gets released soon and their family can be reunited.

teaandakitkat Wed 27-Dec-17 21:07:58

I'm in. I hope she's free soon. It must be hideous for her and her family.

Tistheseason17 Wed 27-Dec-17 21:13:13

I'm in. Nice thread x

Hygge Wed 27-Dec-17 21:14:56

I really hope she's home soon.

This entire time must have been a living nightmare for her and her family.

Much love to them all.

onalongsabbatical Wed 27-Dec-17 21:20:54

Most definitely. Poor woman. Heart-breaking. Makes me so sick to live on the same planet as anyone who can do this to the innocent mother of a small and innocent child.

SchadenfreudePersonified Wed 27-Dec-17 21:23:09

I'm in, too.

This woman should never have been imprisoned.

Praying for her release, her physical, mental and spiritual health, and for her family who must be worried to distraction.

brizzledrizzle Wed 27-Dec-17 21:24:24

Apparently, instead of releasing Nazanin, the government confirmed that they were going to uphold the death sentence on an Iranian-Swedish (?) scientist because they suspected him of working with Mossad - as if a scientist with dual nationality who had worked fpr Mossad would take up a job at Tehran University.

My father used to work in Iran, I'm so glad that he doesn't any more.

Doobigetta Wed 27-Dec-17 21:26:26

I'm in, I've been following this story since someone first posted about it here. I hope Nazanin is freed and reunited with her family very soon flowers

RaindropsAndSparkles Wed 27-Dec-17 21:27:04

Shall we try and keep comments neutral please.

BewareOfTheToddler Wed 27-Dec-17 21:30:11

I'm in. My heart goes out to her and her family. Her daughter isn't much older than my son and I can't bear to imagine what it feels like to be separated, and the impact it will have on the whole family.

Fishface77 Wed 27-Dec-17 21:37:50

I'm in.
Hope she's home soon x
