I can't recall how we got onto this topic but a man at work seems to think that two slices of bread with a filling and cut in half is TWO sandwiches.hmm

Whereas I think two slices of bread with filling is ONE sandwich cut in half...

What day you ? smile

comfortandjoy Mon 18-Dec-17 20:39:03

Agree with you.

LineyRunner Mon 18-Dec-17 20:39:25

I think it's a 'round of sandwiches' in A Land Where No-one Cares.

Unescorted Mon 18-Dec-17 20:39:39

Tuesday.

What does he do if it isn't cut?

Soubriquet Mon 18-Dec-17 20:39:49

Yes that's one sandwhich

But I also believe that one slice of bread folded in half and cut is one sandwhich too so I wouldn't listen to me grin

MumGoneMild Mon 18-Dec-17 20:39:57

Two slices cut in half is one sandwich.

borntobequiet Mon 18-Dec-17 20:40:07

Oh no, not this again.

expatinscotland Mon 18-Dec-17 20:40:08

It's one sandwich cut in half.

steff13 Mon 18-Dec-17 20:40:25

What does he say if it's not cut in half? It's still two slices of bread, is it one sandwich then?

Janetjanetjanet Mon 18-Dec-17 20:40:29

Here we go again.

Its one sandwich.

Sagethyme Mon 18-Dec-17 20:42:57

This discussions been had before op, it became a bit of a bun fight IIRC! I agree with you two slices of bread and a filling = a sani, but many on here will disagree.

Farontothemaddingcrowd Mon 18-Dec-17 20:44:33

Bun fight: love it😁

justdontevenfuckingstart Mon 18-Dec-17 20:44:52

What's in his sandwich2sandwiches?

Smeaton Mon 18-Dec-17 20:45:44

bit of a bun fight

But was it a half of one bun or two buns?

grin

I agree that 2 slices, with filling, is one sandwhich no matter how many times it is divided.

Janetjanetjanet Mon 18-Dec-17 20:48:24

Here come the puns!

cherrycola2004 Mon 18-Dec-17 20:52:49

Oh sorry, not been on here long didn't know it had been asked before.

I am going to ask him though what he thinks it is if not cut in half.

Again sorry for being a bore blush

borntobequiet Mon 18-Dec-17 21:03:35

Not boring, entertaining in a Groundhog Day sort of way. Ask him.

MiltonTheCockroach Mon 18-Dec-17 21:03:56

I prefer a baguette.

UrsulaPandress Mon 18-Dec-17 21:05:22

It's a round. One round.

lololove Mon 18-Dec-17 21:06:56

I can't recall how we got onto this topic but a man at work seems to think that two slices of bread with a filling and cut in half is TWO sandwiches.

oh lordy, my mum is the exact same - she can't get her head round it when I got confused when she asked for four sandwiches (ie: 2 sandwiches cut in half) one day because she was feeling hungry.

ColonelJackONeil Mon 18-Dec-17 21:08:14

What if it's cut in quarters?

ferntwist Mon 18-Dec-17 21:08:16

Do you fancy this bloke at work? wink

VladmirsPoutine Mon 18-Dec-17 21:08:34

I'm on the fence. Thinking about my Tesco meal deal isn't it 2 sandwiches.

putdownyourphone Mon 18-Dec-17 21:12:43

It’s not ‘a round’! A round refers to ‘a round of sandwiches’ - but 2 slices cut in half isn’t ‘sandwiches’. Plus you don’t go to M&S on your lunch break and and pick up ‘a round’, you pick up a sandwich.
