AIBU?

Would you stay in a Trump hotel?

Next year we're going to Las Vegas and are pricing up hotels. The Trump looks amazing, 5 star at a good price, big rooms and looks lovely and posh. It's £500 for 3 nights. In comparison, Caesars Palace which is a 4 star is £1300 for 3 nights.

But it's Trump!! Would you ignore the owner for the sake of a good hotel at a good price?

Yes of course I would, why not?

It's not as though I would have to share a room with The Donald is it?!

That is my favourite hotel in the whole world, but next time we go to Vegas we will not be staying there.

It's a shame as it is really lovely, but cannot support that man in any way, shape or form.

Is it as nice as it looks whynot? Why is it so cheap? I'm assuming it's because of the owners reputation but DH agrees.

There must be other choices?

No to Trump in every way.

It’s cheap as it is inconveniently located and it doesn’t have a casino.

WhyNot123 · 11/12/2017 12:52

It really is a gorgeous hotel.
It's cheaper because it's not on the strip and no casino - plus points for us! But a free shuttle bus runs to caesars and it's still walkable to most places.

There is a resort fee of around $20/30 a day, but that's standard everywhere.

I wouldn't, partly because of who he is and I wouldn't want to contribute to his life in any way, and partly because of who WOULD stay there. Probably small minded of me, but I don't care really.

Isn't there another option? I mean I'd want to save money but not support a sex offender.

No. I refuse to even travel to or via the US till that man is out of office, let alone stay in any property owned by him.
