AIBU?

AIBU to rant about Cohorted Beauty Box?

My lovely husband has paid for a 12 month subscription to the Cohorted Beauty Box as my Christmas present. In my excitement I missed the bit in the terms and conditions that explains that it works a month in advance and so despite him paying on 1st Dec I won’t receive my first box until around 10th January. Fair enough should have read everything properly and I probably still would have chosen that subscription anyway.

We have also bought a Glossybox subscription for my step-daughter (a third of the price of cohorted), this was ordered on the same day. She receives an extra box as part of their Christmas promotion which arrived the following day, and her December box arrives tomorrow. AIBU to have a little rant because despite costing more Cohorted can’t get thier act together and deliver in time for Christmas?

YABU

different boxes have different contracts, yours starts in January so it has nothing to do with them "getting their act together" as your contract would always start in January. The fact that Glossybox work differently and happen to have a a Christmas promo has no bearing on your subscription.

As soon as you click subscribe on the cohorted website it tells you in quite large writing that the boxes work one month in advance so you won't get your box until the following month. So you can't complain really.

Most people give a subscription gift card on Christmas Day, then you have the anticipation of receiving the first gift in January. It wouldn't be much of a surprise for all the people who didn't choose it themselves if the box turned up before Christmas, especially if it's their main present.
