Judging by my dog’s reaction to something in the garden THAT ISN’T THERE.

She has just leapt on me Scooby Doo style and spent ten minutes shaking a staring out the window in horror?

To think I’m pretty much doomed?

Oh she has a good look of fear. Have you thought about doggy drama classes?

Omg! Do you think she’s faking it and gaslighting me?!

Have you run out of treats?

It's the eyebrows that are doing it.

Do dogs even have eyebrows?

My dog once had a bit of a bonkers reaction to the garden...it was a rat under the decking! My first reaction was to burn the house down, but with some well placed rat poison and some prayers we got through it.

Try living with a noise sensitive jack russell. The little twat does this every five minutes. It frightens the living shit out of you.

But that’s the special crap kitchen tree we specifically buy the most gaudy decs and tinsel for. (The other trees have tinsel too, but read and gold).

I do read Mumsnet properly. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have found out about the giant Asda Christmas gnomes

Christmas gnomes? I need one.

Your dog is traumatised. I think she should come and live with me for a while and you can have my twat of a greyhound who pissed on the Christmas tree.

It's a Labrador. He's seen something eating some food he can't get to now, but was saving for later.

My 14-year-ild dog did a vertical leap about three feet into the air this morning in terror at what appeared to be a leaf. Exactly the same as the 3,000 other leaves he'd just walked through without a second glance.

WTF? There's a thing as too much tinsel.

I had a Christmas gnome that was the image of my dad and for years my kids called him Grandpa gnome, but he got destroyed by an angry relative (maybe my dad).heads to Asda, bag in hand and hopes held high
