Anyone else a massive fan and still gutted that he's gone? He's the only "celeb" I've ever been truly emotional about when he died 😞

i'm sorry he died so young and I enjoyed some of his work but no, not really.

I'm sorry he died young, but his gurning irritated the hell out of me.

I love Rik Mayall, he is one of the few that made me cry with laughter. I was showing DS1 some You Tube clips of 'Kevin Turvey Investigates' not long ago.

His partnership with Ade Edmondson was brilliant.

No comedians today really do it for me.

"No comedians today really do it for me."

I feel the same. There is nobody else that can make me cry with laughter like he could. I like Ricky Gervais but he's not in the same league as Rik

He didn't do it for me- old boyfriend loved him though

Yes, I wish there was a comedian who could make me cry with laughter now but there really isn't.

I used to love Ben Elton's stand up too back in the day.

Maybe I have changed. But can't watch Peter Kay or Michael McIntyre etc because I just don't think they are funny.

Lord Flashheart. The funniest funny thing ever!

He was an absolute comedy genius.

Bottom Ranks third in my all time favourite comedies only being beaten by Monty Python (nothing funnier) and Blackadder!

No not for me either, I didn't find his kind of comedy funny. I'm sure he would have done some stuff that I would have laughed at but for me there are much funnier people.

The episode of Bottom where they played Chess was genius, and not forgetting the camping trip.

Before Bottom there was a series called 'Filthy Rich and Catflap' which was basically Bottom, but I have never seen it repeated so not sure about that. Nigel Planer was in it.

No I didn't find him at all funny

YANBU! Funniest man ever, and my son's all time hero. Rik stole every scene he was ever in.

I met him after watching Bottom Live in 2005 and he was lovely.

I fancied him as Alan B'Stard Blush

He was great, i miss him.

'Mould, Frankenstein and Grrr' still makes me laugh!

I adored Rik.

Bottom, The New Statesman, Filthy, Rich & Catflap, The Young Ones, The Comic Strip... all of it!!!

Oh yes, forgot he was in Blackadder too!

The young ones was ok( ish) but I found them all a bit silly schoolboy.

Yanbu, he was such a big part of my adolescence, I watched everything he was in, a very sad loss.

It's subjective isn't it. I laugh readily and find many things funny, but I just don't "get" The Young Ones, Bottom, Monty Python, Blackadder, etc. I did used to like "The Comic Strip Presents" though.
