Am I getting old or are these dresses completely outrageous? I am staggered that women would wear this style of dress. Men don’t dress with their scrotums on show!

The film that was being premiered was The Young Pope by the way. Not porn, not even risque.

Jay-zuz. Those are not only truly hideous but totally totally inappropriate to wear in public. I mean. Why would you?? Confused

They might have been sponsored by a waxing company, the only possible explanation.

Don't have any problem with the amount of flesh on show. But they're not very flattering or sexy are they?

They somehow make women that are probably lovely looking look weirdly lumpy and miscoloured.

Who designed them? Is it one designer or is this a trend?

I can imagine the flaparazzi loving it. They don't even have to bother doing upskirt shots any more.

What's next? Turning up to a do with nothing but a sequin on your clit?

They look like the woman's equivalent of a mankini. And just as hideous.

Making me nostalgic for Liz Hurley and the safety pins which is probably considered frumpy

BeetrootTart · 01/12/2017 11:53

Confused they're awful! I'm assuming there was some kind of promotional reason behind the wearing of them though, as both ladies are models?

No one would expose their fanny at a premiere unless they were being paid handsomely (would they?!)

Yes, just imagine if it were men prancing along the red carpet in such attire - or lack of.

I suppose it garners attention... but this is not a good look.

I'm not shocked. It is an extremely easy way to get attention, press and pictures for any woman who wants to increase their profile. It's not surprising that these dresses are pushed to more and more extremes as these women vie for attention.

The issue is with a society/culture that focuses so much on women's bodies compared to their actual skill at acting/performing/etc. Men don't need to turn up to these things showing their bodies off, so you don't see the same competition to wear the most revealing suit!
