So I've got 20 million in (imaginary) pounds. Where would you live for this and in what? I'm only after one home as I find having a home in each continent discombobulating.

Why don't you think about solving some real problems in the world instead of fantasizing about your imaginary lottery win?

I would buy the house for sale in my street at a mere £350,000.

Whistler (Canada).

Split my time between bike riding, ski-ing and drinking wine.

I would live where I do now, in the Cotswolds, as it is beautiful and I love it, but in a big farmhouse with acres of land and top class equestrian facilities.

I'd have one big house here (South Wales) and a few smaller pieds a Terrell in various international locations.

I'd live exactly where I am. Been happy here for 24 years. Why would I move?

To expend, I live in walking distance of a major northern city centre in a three bedroomed house. On my own! (and that's how it's staying).

I’d probably stay where I am - NE Scotland as my kids are still very young and I like where I live. Would buy a bigger house and probably a holiday home in Portugal or one of the Balearic Islands.
Sorry, it’s not a very exotic answer!!

"Why don't you think about solving some real problems in the world instead of fantasizing about your imaginary lottery win?"

Personally I've got to s point we're in doing all I can, as the norm, so I put the lottery on occasionally and fantasise.

OP, I'd have to stay in the UK because of my GC (and my Adult children).

So I'd run a rescue animal sanctuary. My house would have enough bedrooms for visitors and at least two sitting rooms. Other than that I'm not fussy. It's the grounds that I'd have to be more concerned about. It would include accommodation, which would provide residential training/work opportunities for lots of categories of people and their Carers. If I could expand to subsistence farming, then I would.

Biscuit

Well, why do anything other than try to solve real problems in the world?!

Central London - one of those amazing mansions on Regents Park or Belgravia or a penthouse in Covent Garden.

Not sure I could actually get one of those big houses for 20 million though! I swear I've seen some going for about 35 million Shock .

Go and look on the Knight Frank and Saville's websites. They're like property porn. I would buy a house in Notting Hill and one at the seaside.

Somewhere hot and sunny with a beach view that you can easily access, I love falling asleep to the sound of the sea! I would have at least 5 bedrooms with mine being an ensuite, two bathrooms and a closet loo but American sized rooms! Ooh an indoor pool, a huge kitchen diner and then separate eating room plus huge open plan lounge...ooh utility room too...huge garden for bbqs, play area etc...you know the basics Grin

Or ask Justine MN. From the looks of her house she'd know!

Chrys2017 I think the current real problem being solved is a little imaginary stress relief via the medium of fun.

OP just for clarity, was it a lottery win? Long lost millionaire uncle popping his cloggs? Bank job?

I would go for a loft in Manhattan. With a helipad. All of my non-irritating friends and family could come to visit and I would waltz around pretending to be Carrie Bradshaw.
