shock When was this?

Maelstrop Sat 25-Nov-17 19:40:58

Deliberately? If so, that’s GBH and I would definitely ask the police to arrest him.

WhoWants2Know Sat 25-Nov-17 19:42:00

How old are they?

cakeymccakington Sat 25-Nov-17 19:42:08

What?? What did the school do?

AfterSchoolWorry Sat 25-Nov-17 19:42:19

Hell yes, call the police. Your poor dd. brew

GertrudeCB Sat 25-Nov-17 19:43:14

Call the police, it's a crime ! How old is your DD and how is she now ? flowers

PinkHeart5914 Sat 25-Nov-17 19:44:08

A girl at school broke my arm, she was a vicious little so and so. I can remember the police or school not being that interested I think all both done was ‘talk’ to her.

I hope your dd is as ok as she can be the poor love. Yes I’d absolutely try the police

LouHotel Sat 25-Nov-17 19:44:20

Is this a wind up? Unless their 4 and was a freak accident why would you not call the police? X

Stormwhale Sat 25-Nov-17 19:45:24

My reaction would very much depend on the age of the children involved. Under 10 I would not be contacting the police. Over 10, yes I most definitely would.

Fantasticmissfoxy Sat 25-Nov-17 19:45:48

How? Why? Where? How old are the children involved?

cakeymccakington Sat 25-Nov-17 19:46:00

When did this happen?

dameglittersparkles Sat 25-Nov-17 19:46:40

I hope this isn't true 😞

asmuchuseasachocolatefireguard Sat 25-Nov-17 19:47:07

Who goes to school on a Saturday?

wannabestressfree Sat 25-Nov-17 19:47:45

Most children in private education...

deepestdarkestperu Sat 25-Nov-17 19:47:54

Who goes to school on a Saturday?

Plenty of private schools have Saturday school. I went to school on Saturdays for years.

Cornettoninja Sat 25-Nov-17 19:48:39

shock what on earth happened? How old are they all?

whojamaflip Sat 25-Nov-17 19:49:08

I had this happen when I was at school - played the incident down as I didn't want to cause a fuss 😕 the bullying ramped up afterwards and the boy in question ended up with a restraining order and had to sit his GCSEs elsewhere after things became really nasty - sexual bullying and leaving my home number in phoneboxes with a list of services offered shock

Police told me I should have reported the wrist incident and it might have nipped everything in the bud - 30 years later it still affects me and I've been left with lasting fear and mental health issues due to it.

Please please please report it - anything to stop another person going through what I did 😟

A boy from school broke her arm today?

SexLubeAndAFishSlice Sat 25-Nov-17 19:50:36

Of course you call the police! Why wouldn’t you?? confused

lovelycuppateas Sat 25-Nov-17 19:52:43

If it was deliberate (not, say, accidentally running into her and knocking her down), of course you should report it. In the end you'll be doing him a favour as he has to recognise violence has consequences. What are the school doing about it?

happypoobum Sat 25-Nov-17 20:01:01

Unless he is at least ten there is nothing the police can do.

If he is ten or over, yes I would call police if it was deliberate. If it was an accident then there isn't much you can do sad

SoupDragon Sat 25-Nov-17 20:11:02

There is no way anyone can say whether you should call the police as we have no idea what happened.

MistressoftheYoniverse Sat 25-Nov-17 20:14:12

Ok let me explain...
My daughter came home yesterday afternoon, she was given a lift by a friends dad because she was in distress...@ school a boy in her year kicked her in the hand it was deliberate ..it was swollen and painful she's in year 10...a friend went up to him to tell him off he laughed..no apology...we did what you do..kept her arm elevated ..iced and pain killers...took her today to the community hospital and got an x-ray....her wrist is broken..I'm at hospital all day Monday..but I will be calling the school...

WhoWants2Know Sat 25-Nov-17 20:16:18

Year 10 = call the police. It’s assault, there are witnesses.
