Anyone here have a delong'hi bean to cup coffee machine, or even better the Eletta one, and can tell me if it makes properly hot coffee? I like the idea of buying one but I like my coffee really piping hot, so don't want to spend hundreds on a machine thats going to just make warm coffee.
Thank you to any fellow coffee addicts able to help Smile

Ours does, steaming hot, can't hold the cup in your hand without burning yourself hot.

I can't stand coffee so can't personally tell you what it tastes like, but all our guests love our coffee so it must be ok! (And as a coffee hater it is soooo easy for me to make a coffee for someone with a bean to cup machine).

And it's more environmentally friendly and much cheaper in the long run than those coffee pod machines.

My de longhi one does not make piping hot coffee unless you use the steamer to froth the coffee. If I make a flat white I microwave the milk first unless I plan on drinking it immediately ( which I usually do as it is delicious!)
Beans are very cheap from aldi & lidl

Hmm, that's exactly what worries me derek.
I have two toddlers so I rarely get to drink a coffee immediately!

Sounds like someone is being temped by Coffee machine deals today. I saw an offer this morning, but don't have the space, the things are massive.

Even if I did have the space, I make very nice coffee using an Aeropress, £24 on Amazon. My method is (a) Aeropress to make an espresso in my mug, (b) add milk and sugar (c) top up to a full mug with boiled water from kettle and (d) microwave for 30 seconds.

The microwave is to compensate for cold milk and get coffee back up to hot. During the 30 seconds I clean all the Aeropress bits.

Altogether it takes a couple of minutes to make nice coffee.

If making more than one (rare) I will use a milk jug to receive the Aeropress output, and top that up with hot water before sharing out among mugs, as that makes it easier to give equal shares.

Firesuit I like the idea of the aeropress but realistically that much faff is not going to happen when I'm also simultaneously making three different breakfasts and refereeing sibling disputes!

I confess to being tempted by deals but I have to replace my filter machine, the pump is dying so it now takes 45mins to make a jug, so I make one jug at the weekend and microwave a mugful every day, but it's not very good coffee when it's been nuked.

Just 30 secs in the microwave to warm the milk & mug and then under the machine for 30 secs. Its fine and lovely

I have an Eletta Cappucino Top (with the milk island doodah). It's bloody brilliant. The milk that comes from the island is not very hot but the coffee is. You could use the steam arm instead but I'm lazy ;)
