To ask for my money?

In March I paid for concert tickets for me,my friend and her cousin.
They were £50 each.
My friend paid a week later but her cousin never paid.
I sent her a message and pic when the tickets arrived and reminded her they were £50.
8 months later no payment and concert is Sunday.
She is writing on her Facebook she is excited and can't wait but I don't think she's going to pay.
I asked my friend and she said she doubts she will pay for the ticket.
I asked my friend can she speak to her cousin and remind her about the £50 and she refused.
What would you do now?
Let her go for free?

Have you handed over the ticket

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 17/11/2017 21:21

Nope. Tell her if she doesn't pay you before the concert, she doesn't get the ticket.

Otherwise she isn't going to be and you'll be taken for a mug.

chipsandpeas · 17/11/2017 21:21

tell her if she doesnt pay your selling the ticket

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 17/11/2017 21:21

*to pay

Bringmewineandcake · 17/11/2017 21:21

Nope, no money no ticket. Sell it when you arrive at the venue if need be.

PotteringAlong · 17/11/2017 21:21

No cash, no ticket. Simple.

Kellyopio · 17/11/2017 21:22

I have the tickets as ticketmaster posted them out to my address.
My partner says send her a message and if she can't afford it then sell it.

She hasn't paid for the ticket, the ticket is not hers yet. Put on her Facebook - looking forward to it too. Can you transfer the cash over for your ticket? Can't wait to see you

Leeds2 · 17/11/2017 21:23

As long as you have the ticket in your possession, remind her on FB that unless she pays for it, the ticket won't be handed over and you will sell it outside the venue.

Badgertastic · 17/11/2017 21:23

Your partner is totally right

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 17/11/2017 21:25

Her FB post gives you the perfect place to remind her. Pointedly

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 17/11/2017 21:25

Don't give her the ticket, let someone else buy it!

KarmaStar · 17/11/2017 21:26

As above, don't let anyone persuade you to give her the ticket on the promise she will at you back.she won't.she has no intention of paying if she can get away with it.Unbelievable her nerve.definitely tell her one more time ,firmly and clearly then if no response sell the ticket.
Enjoy the gig,do not feel guilty if she doesn't go.

QueenNovo · 17/11/2017 21:26

Cheeky fucking bitch that she is, she's had 8 months to find the money. Do not hand over the ticket without payment or you'll never see your £50 again.

monkeywithacowface · 17/11/2017 21:27

No payment no ticket. Just send a message saying can you send money for ticket asap if you can't go anymore no worries I'll sell the ticket

Kellyopio · 17/11/2017 21:27

The Facebook post was a couple of weeks ago now.
Does this sound ok..
Hi xxxxx can't wait for Sunday, can't believe it's finally here...the ticket was £50,I'm a little short for money at the moment or I wouldn't ask.

OP posts:
DJBaggySmalls · 17/11/2017 21:27

Post on her Facebook she has until 10am Saturday to pay for the ticket or you sell it. And expect a lot of drama and promises from her but no money. Would you want to go with her anyway?
As for your friend, did she ask for her cousin to come along?

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2017 21:28

Why wouldn't you ask? She would be going free! If she can't buy a ticket, like the rest of he population she isn't going. Or are you treating this stranger?

Kellyopio · 17/11/2017 21:28

If she had put £1.50 a week away then the ticket would be paid for.

OP posts:
monkeywithacowface · 17/11/2017 21:28

No don't send that message at all! Far too apologetic and makes it sound like you are wrong for wanting payment. Don;t be a push over!

Kellyopio · 17/11/2017 21:29

My friend said they wanted to come but couldn't pay on ticket release day,me being me said il cover it till you get paid ...

OP posts:
bumbleymummy · 17/11/2017 21:29

I wouldn't say that you wouldn't ask. Why wouldn't you? You paid for the tickets and she owes you money.

Nonono.

‘Can’t wait until Sunday, would you be able to send over the cash by tomorrow please? See you sunday!’

BlessYourCottonSocks · 17/11/2017 21:29

Your friend doubts her cousin will pay for the ticket?

I doubt she'll be going then Grin. She'd get one message from me saying if I've not had the cash by lunchtime tomorrow she won't be getting the ticket. I'd tell her my DP will be going instead.

(Even if that's a lie) I would BURN the ticket rather than hand it over, frankly.

Kellyopio · 17/11/2017 21:29

Can anyone word a message for me?
I hate asking people for money
