Posting for traffic, sorry!

DSis is going travelling for 6 months on Saturday and I need a small, lovely, gift idea.

It's a bit intense as we lost our parents, have just sold our family home (completing on Monday) and she is travelling while I move to another city. We have been living together in our family home for 18 months with our mum's dogs (who are.moving with me)

I thought of something like a photo kindle cover of the dogs, but can't find one soon enough. Also thought a little token would be nice, but can only find tacky things.

You people are good at these things, please help! drawing a blank and running out of time!

Thanks!

Maybe a St Christopher necklace, often worn by travellers to keep them safe? He was patron saint of travel I think. I’m not religious but was given one before I climbed Kilimanjaro and loved wearing it.

I'd go for a bangle with something engraved on the inside.

An antique compass necklace so she can always find her way home 😊 You could even have that engraved on the back: www.etsy.com/listing/294325393/antique-sterling-silver-working-compass

A st Christopher would be nice but I know I’d probably appreciate a heartfelt letter to be opened on the plane with a lovely photograph of the two of you enclosed.

If you don’t feel like you could write a letter then this poem is beautiful

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

A good quality LED torch flashlight.
A good quality pair of binoculars, you can get small pairs.
A sponge bag that has a hanger and pockets, that she can hang up in any washroom. Difficult to describe, but hopefully you will know what I mean.
Microfibre towels, really good for travelling as they roll up small but are very absorbent and dry quickly.
A Swiss army penknife, with scissors, tweezers and a bottle opener.
A first aid kit.
A pair of foldable slippers or slippersocks.
An emergency phone charger.
A money belt or close-body money pouch.
A rucksack with wheels.
A rape alarm.
