Help! I need the wisdom and experience of mn here please.
My DD will be 2 soon and is currently leaking through her nappy every night. This means I'm washing vest, sleepsuit, sleeping bag and often bottom sheet every day which is getting exhausting.
She does wee a lot overnight depite rarely drinking in the 2 hours before bed, but the problem is compounded by her being a front sleeper so all the wee ends up at the very front of the nappy. The leak is almost always over the top of the waistband or at the hips rather than around legs.
We are currently using Aldi nappies as pampers leaked previously. She is in the right size for her weight (5+) we tried going up a size but they were too baggy around the legs and all the wee fell straight out the legholes instead.
I've tried double nappy, and that didn't work either. Tried Lidl brand, they leaked even more than Aldi.
I know cloth would be one possible solution but we had terrible damp and mould problems due to drying cloth nappies over winter so we had to give those up and I sold everything and don't really want to go back to that again, especially bleaching the mould off the walls every week.
Can anyone recommend a disposable nappy with a massive capacity or maybe a super high waistband? I looked at pyjama Pant things but they seem less absorbent than a normal nappy?
Or would using a disposable insert type thing work?
