To ask what makes you happy?

I seem to have lost my way a bit in the last few weeks, I've had a stinker of a cold so haven't been pursuing my hobbies, and stopped exercising until I was feeling better. I've descended into eating junk, generally feeling knackered and have lost my get up and go.

Work is good, husband and kids are good, nothing to complain about really just feeling a bit meh!

So what do you do on a daily basis that makes you happy? I'm looking to start forming some good habits to get myself on top form.

Coffee. High quality, strong coffee.

That and I try to walk 3 miles a day or so. That helps a lot.

I watch videos of puppies every night especially if I've had a bad day. They always cheer me up.
I usually have other things I'd do but I'm 39+2 weeks pregnant so I'm kind of limited right now. I spend time on Pinterest making sure I've got my new recipes to try out for Christmas though. Baking makes me happy and I have no idea why as I'm not overly good at it but there we go.

At the moment it's Christmas films.

Some great lists here, another coffee lover here so I will get the good stuff brewing. Getting out in the fresh air and getting some exercise is exactly what I need too. Getting some lunch dates in the diary and having a good think about what else makes me smile. I love the watching puppies idea, I have dogs so giving them extra cuddles always feels good too. I like eating baking, not so good at getting around to actually doing the baking though 😬

Getting outside does wonders for my mental health and conversations with my DD always become so much more interesting and alive when we're out!

Eating crap makes me so lathargic so when I cut that out I feel great!

My puppy has brought so much joy, fun and chaos into our little house.

Getting out without DD (shoot me) with friends/dates etc.

When I make even the remotest bit of effort with my appearance I feel the better for it.

Lovely views and scenery makes me really happy and makes me feel like I've achieved something with my day.

Then on the flip side I love thrashy gossip forums about minor celebs/youtubers/snapchatters.

Getting into a warm house from the cold and having a steaming cup of tea.
Watching trashy tv with a huge bag of crisps.
Silly messages from my friends on WhatsApp/social media
Putting my out of office on at work before a holiday
Getting into a freshly changed bed
Sharing a smile with a stranger
Putting the first knife into a brand new pot of butter

Little things, but the best things!

I have reclaimed my (unpaid) lunch hour to swim everyday. The upturn in my mood is incredible. It helps that I have a real gem of a historic pool a few minutes drive from the office, staffed by wonderful people. I have also just been to see Paddington 2 with DD and feel warm and fuzzy all over!
