The other day DD asked me if the Queen shops at IKEA.
I'm sitting at and IKEA desk drinking from IKEA glasses. everything's bloody IKEA.
Is there anyone who has NO IKEA at all?
No I don't work for them!

I have no IKEA in my house though not through choice. Haven't got a car and the nearest one is REALLY REALLY far away. I'm not a fan of paying delivery. Once I get my new car though I feel like things will change Grin

Me. Absolutely hate going around the place. Much prefer places set up in the more traditional aisles layout. There's an Ikea near me, and the car park is always packed, so I assume the inside is hell.

Me!

We made the decision to refurnish once and do it right.

We don't have anything Ikea and I've only visited one once as has my DP. We don't have a car so that's probably why (and refuse to pay £40 delivery!).

I’m sure they exist. I remember visiting a friend and I admired her new chest of draws. I said something like “Ooh Ikea, I’ve got some Malim draws too”

They weren’t ikea, god knows what they were but they were at least 3 times the price - looked exactly the same to me.

I love ikea. I’m clumsy as fuck. There’s no way I’m spending thousands on something I’m inevitably going to ruin at some point.

I don’t have an Ikea free room either. I thought the bathroom might be but then DH reminded me that the bath mat is Ikea.

I have never actually been to Ikea. My sisters tell me I would love it, as do my children - but somehow, I've just never got round to going. I have two little Ikea bowls, that my sister gave me, but otherwise my house is an Ikea-free zone. In terms of furniture, I'm the last of the Victorians anyway....

My parents Grin. They've never even set foot in Ikea and I reckon they never will!

Not entirely. There is an ancient and very much loved IKEA Blund (best teddy bears ever made for the uninitiated) sitting on the sofa next to me waiting for surgery. But otherwise, no.

Me...and I've never been in one. The massiveness of the stores scares me!

Hahaha so true! People make jokes out of our house. It's our first house together (early 20's, small baby, not much money) and in our front room alone we have 2 sofas, a rug, a coffee table, side table, huge kallax unit, fake plants, cactus/succulents, clock and picture frames... all from IKEA

To be fair we furnished our whole house for just over a grand and it looks lovely - that's for our bedroom, babies room (although a relative paid for her cot), living room and table & chairs for the kitchen. Job done! Helps that we live less than ten minutes away.

There is nothing ikea in my house. Not by choice though, we just don't have a store near us and they charge £35 delivery fee for furniture!

To all these people who have never been to IKEA... go! It's like a cheap colourful furniture Disneyland!

Thinking about it, though, much of Scotland isn’t close enough to an Ikea to buy from there unless they make special trips.

Yes, it's too far away, the nearest is 2hours drive and I'm not coughing up their delivery charges
