Long post as I waffle...
Myself and my partner live in a private rented property. We have lived here for 3 years and have bought a house so are moving out.
We've had ongoing issues with a damp bathroom, causing several problems with mould etc. We can't use the under sink cupboard as the 'condensation' is so bad it makes everything soaking wet and mouldy. We were promised a new driveway when we moved in too which has never happened, the gate posts rotted and fell away and gates have never been replaced, took 2 years to get carbon monoxide detectors installed, we're promised compensation because my partner had to take so much time off work to get a leaking shower fixed (at least 10 days I would say all in all, over a few months due to landlord using the worst builder ever, the guy expanding foamed the washing machine in place as it was 'moving' .. which a few months later caused it to break as guess what, it couldn't fucking move!).
They called today to say someone would be viewing property on Wednesday, and we needed to be in to show them around. This is what got my goat. No where does it state we are responsible for showing people around, it actually states the estate agents will do this and if we have changed locks etc. we need to give them the correct keys!).
We weren't sure if the house had gone up for sale or to let (as landlord had expressed interested previously in selling) so checking their website it seems it's gone up for £625pcm (£75 more than we are currently paying).
WIBU to tell the people viewing on Wednesday (since it's been left to me to show them around) that the price has gone up a lot and we've had loads of problems so they should enquire about those firstly? I know the estate agents wouldn't mention it but I feel people should know they're being ripped off / about the issues that we've dealt with.
