To think what is the point?

Had enough of constantly having to consider how not to upset husband, mother, sons when things go wrong. I can’t collapse into a tear sodden mess because my DH - who really is a DH- finds it hard as well and I don’t want to add to his worries, equally my DM lives on her own and can worry for England for nothing so she has to be protected, DS1 once said he had considered suicide so he has to be cocooned in love and support and DS2 doesn’t deserve to have problems shoved his way just because there is no one else. Hope I’m wrong in thinking another disaster is around the corner but I don’t know how I will cope if it materialises. Why bother with anything ?

A trip to the GP is in order by the sounds of things OP. Tell them how overwhelmed you're feeling and they can talk to you about what help is available. Sounds like you may really benefit from Talking Therapy xx

Thank you Sad Trombone, already on low dose anti anxiety medication - it’s been a tough few years- but I feel better this morning. Up and at them etc!

OP I could have written your post with 3 extra kids and grandchildren and parents with health issues.

You are the go to person I get that.

However I got help from the GP and actually realised that actually my anxieties and expecting the worst was overstated and overshadowing quite normal situations.

Ajways expecting terrible things to happen is a bloody awful way to live. Get help. I was never like this pre menopaus and I honestly blame that for anxiety.
