AIBU?

TO NOT WANT FUCKING AMAZON PRIME?

herecomesthsun · 02/11/2017 20:46

I did not even click for it! And it appears impossible to unsubscribe!

This happened a couple of years ago and I eventually found a phone number that worked, but, hey, it was a lot of work and why should I have to go to a load of trouble?

I do not want FUCKING FUCKING Amazon Prime, I do not want it in a boat, I do not want it on a train, I do not want it in the rain...
Angry

And yes yes it is my fault for using Amazon, maybe I should give up Amazon.

Not in a hat, not with a cat, I'll break my computer with a bat!

Fuck off Amazon Prime. The bastard thing has got me a time or two. You can unsubscribe.

Amazon prime rocks.
Telly, music and next day delivery.
The only thing that annoys me is it costs only €20 in Italy vs £69 here..

YABU in that cancelling Amazon Prime is very, very easy. Log on to your Amazon account, go to your Amazon Prime account and click on 'End Membership'.....

Sounds like you subscribed to get free delivery on something and then got too lazy to cancel. It’s not their fault you haven’t contacted them to cancel. It’s a great product and really valuable for the time poor like me.

Confused

Why did you unsubscribe if you love it?

I selected it by mistake last year, its easily done the way their screens are set up, but found it easy to unsubscribe so just had the free trial month. Cant actually remember how I did it, though I think I printed the instructions at the time.

Having said that, DS got a year free wih his student bank account, which seems to have an extra couple of months as it doesn't expire till Dec, and it has been v useful.

We email him a link of something, and if its on prime it appears at the door the next day. We will definitely miss it when his free subscription expires.

Do you like it in a house? Do you like it with a mouse?

I've subscribed by mistake at least twice, maybe three times. They're manipulative bastards.

It's easy to unsubscribe though.

So difficult I had to type "Amazon phone number" into google and then it was only a massive box at the top of the screen Shock I don't understand how people sign up to this by accident or can't cancel it.

Off topic, but thanks for this OP.
I must remember to cancel mine. DH and I both pay for it, and they offer a household option so we only need one.
Just cancel it us my advice for what it's worth. If you don't want next day delivery don't have it. Simple.

I accidentally signed up and unsubscribed twice. It wasn't difficult but they do hide the unsubscribe option a bit (not as bad as the Graze website though, I was looking for how to cancel that subscription for hours!).

Then we had a baby and now we have Amazon Prime and use it all the time, although yesterday it was because my partner wanted to buy a kilogram of Malteasers...

So many people say this - it did use to be a huge pain in the neck to unsubscribe but it’s really easy now.

if you both have amazon prime and use amazon music do be aware that if you "downgrade" to the household option it's only the main account holder who has access to the music side of things.

I didn't realise this and so dh has to sign in on his phone with my details which is fine, apart from the fact that the app then blabs about every last thing i order on amazon.

I never managed to get Prime by accident to be honest but I do no now subscribe and love it! Cancelling is dead easy go to your account, then Prime and the cancel option is in there. I signed up for a trial of their audio book service in the summer, decided it wasn't for me and cancelled with no problems at all.
