AIBU?

To ask what to expect from being a cub leader?

I've been helping with Beavers with my son for almost a year, he moves up to Cubs in April and the Beaver leader asked me if I'd consider becoming a Cub leader to help support the current Cub leader. I really enjoy helping out and would be thrilled to do more.

My son has additional needs and will always need me there anyway so I may as well be more useful.

Just wondering what to expect!

It will depend on the Leader, and what the pack needs you to do.
But the activities are pretty much the same - the kids are older and more able.

A bit more madness, a bit more cheekiness and a lot less neediness. Or at least that's our group.

I m only a leader a few years and with our cubs we really focus on youth led (they help us plan programme) and the spices (at cub she it's really important to discus emotions and feeling and tge broader picture. I must admit I love seeing them action things. .it's about empowering and enabling with a group focus. You can see them develop.
