It’s only just November. And all toys I’m looking for in Argos and other like sites appear out of stock. What in the world. Should I start panic buying for huge amounts on eBay and Amazon? Is this normal? Do things come back in stock? I’ve never had this issue before shock

All toys are not out of stock. There are billions of toys all over the country.
Are you just trying to buy the most popular things for this year?

dementedpixie Thu 02-Nov-17 13:02:35

This happens with argos every single year with the popular toys

Last week the biggest container ship in the world docked in Felixstowe, loaded down with toys and Christmas tat from China.
It will all be in the shops very soon.

Very much depends what you are after

Argos 3 for 2 starts tomorrow so everyone's probably reserved their stuff already.

PoppyFleur Thu 02-Nov-17 13:10:32

What are you after?

Soubriquet Thu 02-Nov-17 13:11:01

If you're after the popular must have toys, it's all about timing.

Some of them are collect only

i think its a trick but also stock issues. Its pushed me to buy fingerlings today!! I had to drive quite a way to get them but have them now grin the bastards.

LittleLights Thu 02-Nov-17 13:22:25

Have you tried other areas close to you?

I have been after these hatchimal colleggtibles for over a month- every toy shop was out of stock.... I don't know why they hype up and advertise the 'top selling toys' but don't import them ready for the rush?!

I signed up for alerts off toys r us and managed to get the nursery as i bought it as soon as the texts came through, maybe try that?

Oh and those unicorn fingerlins I've given up on! 😉
