AIBU?

To wonder if people notice this?

Tiny thought crossed my mind before I left the house this morning.

I have virtually no very small boobs and recently decided to ditch the wired, padded fandangos and get myself so lovely comfy cloth triangle things. I love them. Noticed this morning despite wearing the bra and a shirt and a jumper, my nipples are very viable (probably because it's bollocking freezing here).

I sort of shrugged to myself and left the house but just out of idle curiosity does it bother anybody if their nips are on show as they go about their business?

Thinking about it the tabloids make the most awful fuss about people "going braless" but I can't quite make out why they think it's interesting or what they're implying.

In fact a quick Ctrl + F on the Daily Fail website turned up 2 instances of 'going braless' today!

I feel really self conscious when it happen so always wear a t shirt type bra.
I went to a girls secondary school and people took the piss all the time though. It's the same reason I won't have my hair down when it's been up even if I've straightened it.

Never really noticed it on anyone else though

I just realised I've written 'very viable nipples' Blush

I'd feel pretty self conscious if my nipples were visible through clothing I think.

I don't wear bras at all really and would be a 32C. Nipples can be visible even in hot weather as your body sweats to cool you down... so embrace them! As with most things, your confidence is what draws the attention positively :)

Ah thanks BeardofZeus, bit worried I'm committing a faux pas! Smile

I think most men find it terribly sexy/distracting, so yes they notice.

I do notice it, but not in a bad way.

I have pretty small boobs and I switched to a shelf-camisole thing a few years back because I hate bras.

It's only protection is a double fold of normal fabric across my nipples, so anything thin & white is a bit of a problem - under these circumstances I wear a normal bra.

I quite like it when my nipples are a bit visible Blush

It's a bit like wearing stockings instead of tights, just feels a bit naughty Blush

Yes. I wear t'shirt bras because I seem to have prominent nipples, or 'good equipment,' as the midwife who was helping me when I was beginning to breastfeed dd said. People do notice if and when I don't.

In my 30 years of life, I can safely say that I've never noticed another woman's nipples. You could always add a scarf so it drapes over the offending areas?

I hate seeing people's nipples sorry!
I feel like they're staring at me! and can't help looking at them! (like if someone had something on their face!)
(Straight woman here btw)

I don't find it offending really - I just looked in the mirror and was like 'oh nipples, cool' and went to work. Just was wondering what others though I suppose - very interesting hearing peoples responses!!

Well depending on where abouts in the world you are men find shouldered, ankles, faces sexy/distracting. Let’s not dress according to what men can and can’t control themselves around. Dress for comfort OP. I stopped wearing underwired bras a year or so ago. I’m much more comfortable. Any adult man that hasn’t realised women have nipples has bigger issues than whether he can see their outline.

I actively enjoy having my nipples on show. I think it looks great, like Rachel Green in the 90s. Grin

Never bothers me. I rarely wear a bra and men never wear bras so i see no difference tbh.

I have permanently prominent nips after breastfeeding three little darlings! I am very conscious of them and always go for padded bras or baggy tops.

Men notice.

I have known them to comment on it.

I teach teenages.... there is no way I could get through the day bra-less. But as I don't need much support I buy cheap bras from Primark and cut out the wires to make them more comfortable.

It's somewhat exhibitionsist but if it floats your boat... and you know it is or you wouldnt be asking

Cue: but its your body and everyone has them.

I don't like to see it. I find it very distracting and I don't know where to look. I wonder how people can walk around like that and not feel incredibly self conscious about it. If I thought mine were looking hardened and showing through my clothes I'd be mortified.
